1) Take Me Away: Avril wrote the lyrics to the song while her friend, and former lead guitarist, Evan Taubenfeld. It was released as promo single in both Canada and Australia. Every time I listen to the song it puts me in a good mood. 10/10
2) Together: Despite the title, it's not a happy song. It talks about how when you're alone you feel good but when you're with your significant other you don't feel happy. Avril had said that the song was her favorite song on the album and while on tour she performed the song while playing the piano. This song is one of my favorites. 10/10
3) Don't Tell Me: The album's first single. Like "Take Me Away", Avril wrote the lyrics and Evan wrote the music. The song is about being strong and not letting a guy pressure you into doing anything. 10/10
4) He Wasn't: The fourth overall single from the album. It wasn't released in the U.S. but it was released in the U.K., Canada, and Australia. The video was very strange, especially with the shots of Avril dressed as a fairy as well as wearing devil horns. But then again it's Avril Lavigne so it's kinda expected. 10/10
5) How Does It Feel: A very vulnerable song. I think it's a song everyone can relate to at one point in their life. This also the only song from the album that wasn't performed at her "Live in Budokan" tour, nor has it been performed at any of her other tours. Strange. 10/10
6) My Happy Ending: The second single from the album. It is my favorite song on the album. It was also the best charting single on the album. Despite it's title it's not a "happy" song. Instead it talks about a relationship that's fallen apart. 10/10
7) Nobody's Home: The third single from the album. Avril wrote the lyrics by herself while she wrote the music with former Evanescence lead guitarist Ben Moody. It is a rock ballad and was a little slower paced than previous singles "Don't Tell Me" and "My Happy Ending" which were more fast paced. 10/10
8) Forgotten: One of, if not the darkest song on the album. I used to ignore the song when I first got the album but as I got older I started to relate to it more. 10/10
9) Who Knows: A happy song! The song talks about living life to fullest and just be happy. I didn't like the song at first but I do now. 10/10
10) Fall to Pieces: While the U.K. got "He Wasn't" as the fourth single, "Fall to Pieces" was released as the fourth and final single here in the U.S. and was the fifth overall single off the album. A video for the song was supposed to be shot but for some strange reason the video shoot was cancelled. Instead it was just released as a radio single. Shame that it didn't get a video, since it was a great song. 10/10
11) Freak Out: I love this song! Avril wrote the lyrics by herself and the music was written by Evan Taubenfeld and Avril's former drummer Matt Bran. I love the guitar part in the beginning and the part where she sings "Freak out, let it go". Great motto to live by. 10/10
12) Slipped Away: This song makes me cry. Avril wrote this song about her grandfather who passed away. I can't listen to the song because it makes me think about my grandmother and I start crying. Still a beautiful song. 10/10
13) I Always Get What I Want: This song was a bonus track on the U.K. version and Japanese version. It was also a B-side to "Nobody's Home", was on "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement Soundtrack" and was released on iTunes as a promo single. Avril has performed the song a few times. The title pretty much tells you what the song is about. 10/10
Almost 10 years have passed since this album has been released and it's still one of Avril's best. I love all the songs on this album and can relate to all of them. Even "He Wasn't" which is kinda sad...... Anyone out of 130 points I give the album 130 points which is 100%, an A+. Not surprised since this is one of my favorite albums of all time so far!
