Songs from Instant Star 4 Album Review

Today I review the "Songs from Instant Star 4" soundtrack.  This was the last "Instant Star" soundtrack to be released given that the show was cancelled after its fourth season.  It was supposed to get a fifth season but its networks decided to pull the funding which would lead to the cancellation of the show.  Like with the last soundtrack, "Alexz Johnson" only sings 4 of the songs on the soundtrack despite singing most of the songs on the show.  This was because she had signed a new record deal with "Epic Records".  Thankfully almost all of her versions of the songs she sang on the show have leaked.  The only one that hasn't leaked is "The Music"  which was used in the series finale.  So let's begin my track by track review:

 1) Deeper: One of the songs sung by "Alexz".  It's an upbeat love song that was featured in the episode "She Drives Me Crazy".  The version that was used in the song was mostly a piano ballad until "Alexz" got to the lyric "Maybe this can last forever", the song was the upbeat version that appears on the album.  The song is my favorite on the album.  10/10

 2) Ultraviolet: The version of the that appears on the album is sung by "Luke McMaster" who not only co-wrote this song but also co-wrote several of the songs on the "Instant Star" soundtracks such as "Natural Disaster", "Deeper", "White Lines" and many others.  "Alexz" sang a version of the song in the episode "Your Time Is Gonna Come" which was the first episode of season 4.  "Alexz's" full version of the song has leaked and I love her version more but I have to say "Luke" did a great job both at singing and co-writing the song.  9/10

 3) Perfect: I reviewed "Alexz's" version of the song yesterday on the "Songs From Instant Star: Greatest Hits".  The version of the song that appears on this album is sung by "Valerie Poxleitner", better known as "Lights".  "Alexz's" version of the song was in the episode "Us and Them."  I kinda like "Lights" version of the song a little more just because the high notes seemed too high for "Alexz" to hit, while "Lights" didn't seem to have a problem singing them.  Not dissing "Alexz" in anyway, I just feel that the notes in the chorus were a little too high for her.  7/10

 4) 2 A.M.: This song is a beautiful ballad sung by "Alexz".  It was featured in the episode "Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment".  Loved the part in the episode where "Alexz" sings the lyric "Sirens ringing down the street, did the po po get my call?"  I kept laughing at that part.  Anyway the song is amazing and I'm called that "Alexz" sang it both on the show and on the soundtrack.  10/10

 5) Live Like Music: "Alexz" sang a version of the song in the episode "Brilliant Mistake" but on the soundtrack it was sung by "Kyle Riabko".  "Kyle" not only co-wrote the song but he was also on the show playing the character "Milo" for the the fourth and final season.  "Alexz's" version of the song has leaked and is amazing but you give "Kyle's" version of the song a listen.  8/10

 6) The Music: This song was sung by "Alexz" on the series finale episode "London Calling" but the version that appears on the soundtrack is performed by "Damhnait Doyle".  While "Damhnait" has great voice and she also co-wrote the song, her voice doesn't work with "the music" to the song which makes the song sound a little weird.  "Alexz" did record a version of the song but to this we have only got clips of that version and not a full version like we should have.  The clips from "Alexz's" version are a lot better than the version on the soundtrack.  5/10

 7) Pavement: This song was sung and co-written by "Cassie Steele" who played "Blu" on the show.  She is best known for playing "Manny Santos" on "Degrassi: The Next Generation" which was on the same network as "Instant Star".  Her voice is really amazing voice and I kinda wish she had more songs on the soundtrack.  The song was featured in the episodes "We Belong" and "Possession".  8/10

 8) Remind Yourself: This song is sung by "Tyler Kyte".  It was featured in the episodes "Changes" and "London Calling".  The song, like most of the ones on the soundtrack, had a music video which featured some of the cast members and it was very funny seeing "Cory Lee" mouth "cut" in parts of the video.  Great song.  10/10

 9) Ghost of Mine: Sung by "Cory Lee", this R&B song was featured in the episode "Every Breath You Take".  The video had "Dreamgirls-esque" stye to it.  It's hard to watch the video without laughing because of "Tyler Kyte" making faces.  8/10

10) Higher Ground: This song is sung by "Alexz" both on the soundtrack and on the episode "Possession".  The strange thing was when I first heard the song it was one of my favorites but over the years I find it a little boring.  I don't know why though.  7/10

11) Here We Go Again: On the show the song was sung by "Alexz" and "Luke" ("Tim Rozon", who played "Tom "Tommy Q" Quincy", mimed "Luke's" vocals on the show).  Their version was in the episode "My Hometown".  The version on the soundtrack maintains "Luke's" vocals but replaces "Alexz's" with "Katia Zuccarelli".  "Katia" is good but I prefer "Alexz's" version over hers.  The song was co-written by "Lights".  The song is listed as "Songs from Instant Star" on the Canadian iTunes.  No idea why that is.  6/10

12) I Still Love You: "Alexz" sang a version in the episode "We Belong."  On the soundtrack "Damhnait's" version is on instead of "Alexz's".  "Alexz's" version of the song leaked in full around the time of the soundtracks release and it's amazing but "Damhnait" did do a pretty good job singing this song for the soundtrack.  8/10

13) Song for Amanda: This song is sung by "Kyle Riabko".  The song was partially featured in the episode "She Walks on Me" and is also on "Kyle's" "Song for Amanda" ep.  The song is a beautiful acoustic ballad that was inspired by "Amanda Bynes".  (Keep in mind this song was released in 2008).  I don't listen to the song that much but I should given how amazing "Kyle's" voice is.  7/10

14) That Was Us: The song is performed by "Alexz" on the soundtrack but it is not featured in any episode of the series.  Despite that, the song was given a video.  The video featured "Alexz" singing the song while flashbacks of her and "Tim Rozon's" characters "Jude" and "Tommy" play in the background.  It's an amazing ballad that I wish was shown on the season but I'm glad it had a video.  8/10

While I wish the soundtrack included "Alexz's" versions of the songs she sang, I'm glad that almost all of them have been heard by the public.  I really hope that one day we get the full versions of "The Music", "Unraveling", and "Worth Waiting For" though.  It's sad to that this is the final soundtrack from the series and that a fifth could've happen if the networks it was on didn't pull the funding.  Okay, I need to stop being negative so I'll just say what my favorite songs are.  They are: "Deeper", "Remind Yourself", and "2 A.M.".  There would've been more if "Alexz's" versions of "I Still Love You", "Ultraviolet", "Live Like Music", "Here We Go Again", and "The Music" were included.  Anyway out of 140 points I give the album 111 points which is 79%, a C+.

Thank you for reading this review.  Sorry if parts of it seem negative, I'll try to be a little more positive tomorrow.

Songs From Instant Star: Greatest Hits Album Review

I bet everyone thought I was gonna review the fourth "Instant Star" soundtrack given the order I was going in.  But I decided to do the greatest hits soundtrack instead.  The soundtrack was released on September 22nd, 2009, the same day the fourth "Songs from Instant Star" soundtrack was released in the U.S.  Strange given that the fourth soundtrack was released on June 17th, 2008 in Canada.  The greatest hits soundtracks features "Alexz Johnson" on but one song on the soundtrack.  The song she doesn't sing on is sung by "Tyler Kyte".  "Cory Lee" is on one song with "Alexz".  Here's my track by track review:

 1) Temporary Insanity (Remix): This song is from the first "Instant Star" soundtrack.  The song was remixed and re-recorded for the soundtrack.  The instrumental sounds almost exactly the same as the original with a little change during the verses.  Also the "Da da da" parts that "Alexz" did on the first verse are not on this version.  The song still sounds amazing.  10/10

 2) Liar Liar (Remix): Like "Temporary Insanity", this song was also remixed.  Although I was terrified what the remixed version of this song would sound like because the song is one of my favorites on the second soundtrack.  Thankfully the remixed version is very similar to the original version which made me happy.  So glad it didn't get a drastic change.  10/10

 3) 24 Hours: The first and only single from the first "Instant Star" soundtrack.  Given that it was the only song from any of the soundtracks to get a video, it was obvious that it would be included.  It was also the first song to be played on the series.  Glad it was included on this album.  10/10

 4) Let Me Fall: My favorite song from the first soundtrack.  It's an amazing ballad that a lot of people can relate to and I'm happy it's on here.  10/10

 5) Skin: You can't have make an "Instant Star" greatest hits album without including "Skin".  To this day it's still the most download song from the series.  Not surprising given it's powerful lyrics, the amazing acoustic guitar played throughout the song, and of course "Alexz's" perfect vocals.  It's a raw track that will give you chills.  10/10

 6) How Strong Do You Think I Am: The first and only single from the second "Instant Star" soundtrack.  Out of all the songs from the "Instant Star" series, this is my favorite song.  It's an empowering pop/rock song that I love so much.  Happy to see it made the greatest hits album.  10/10

 7) There's Us: Why was this put on this greatest hits album?  I'm sorry but I feel the song is too slow and too long.  If the rock version of the song was included I'd be okay but I'm not.  I wish they put "Natural Disaster" on this album instead.  4/10

 8) Anyone But You: While I would've loved for the acoustic version that was partially played in the second season episode "When I Come Around", I'm glad the original version of the song is on the album because it's fun to air-guitar to.  10/10

 9) White Lines: The song is an amazing ballad that a lot of fans who watched the show love as well.  It's also the last song from the second "Instant Star" soundtrack to be included.  9/10

10) I Will Be the Flame: The song was sung by "Cory Lee" on the third season soundtrack but the version on this album is sung by both "Cory Lee" and "Alexz Johnson".  This was due to popular demand after the two sang part of the song in the third season episode "Like a Virgin".  "Cory" sings the first verse, "Alexz" sings the second verse, and they sing the chorus together.  It makes it an awesome song and they sound great together.  10/10

11) I Don't Know If I Should Stay: While it is an amazing ballad, I'm a little surprised it's on the great hits album.  I feel "Where Does It Hurt" should've been on the album instead given that it was a single.  7/10

12) Unraveling: This song is sung by "Tyler Kyte".  While I'm sad that "Alexz's" version of the song wasn't  included, I'm glad "Tyler's" version of the song is on here because his version is amazing and fun to rock out to.  So happy it's on the album.  10/10

13) Perfect: This song is on the fourth season soundtrack only on the soundtrack it is sung by "Lights" but it was sung by "Alexz" in the episode "Us and Them".  "Alexz's" version of the song is put on the soundtrack.  It's good to hear "Alexz's" version but the song sounds WAY too high.  I wish they would've included "Deeper" or her versions of "The Music" or "Ultraviolet" on the album instead.  4/10

14) I Just Wanted Your Love: While it was on the "Instant Star" episode "Not An Addict" it was not included on the fourth season soundtrack.  The song was written by "Alexz" and her brother "Brendan Johnson".  Glad to see that's on here.  9/10

While I wish they would've included "Deeper", "Natural Disater, "Alexz's" versions of "Unraveling", "The Music", "Darkness Round the Sun"...this list will go on and on at this rate...  I'm happy that show got to release a greatest hits album.  My favorite songs are: "How Strong Do You Think I Am", "Anyone But You", "Liar Liar (Remix)", "Skin", "Let Me Fall", "I Will Be the Flame", "Unraveling", "Temporary Insanity (Remix)", and "24 Hours".  Out of 140 points I give the album 123 which is 87%, a B+.

Thank you for reading this reviews and leave some comments telling which songs you like from this album and which songs you wish were included on it.

Songs from Instant Star Three Album Review

Today I'll be reviewing the soundtrack, "Songs from Instant Star Three".  Unlike the first two soundtracks, this one features "Tyler Kyte", "Cory Lee", "Damhnait Doyle", "Lindsay Robins", and of course "Alexz Johnson" whereas on the first two "Alexz" sang all the songs".  "Alexz" sang a total of 10 songs on the show but her label "Capital Records" has produced legal issues which led to "Alexz" only having four songs on the soundtrack.  Here's my track by track review:

 1) Where Does It Hurt: This was the first and only single from the album.  The song is a ballad about a friend who's going through a hard time and the narrator tells them that they are there for them because that friend has always been there for the narrator when they've been in a rough spot.  The song was played in the third season finale episode "All I Want Is You".  Great song that was sung by "Alexz".  10/10

 2) Waste My Time: This song was on the first "Instant Star" soundtrack but it was sung by "Alexz Johnson".  The version on this album is sung by "Cory Lee" who played "Karma" on the show.  The song was played in the episodes "Lose Yourself", "Like a Virgin", and a small clip in "Start Me Up".  "Cory" is a good singer but "Alexz's" version of the song is better in my opinion.  6/10

 3) What You Need: "Tyler Kyte" sang this song.  I already reviewed the song in my review of his album "Talking Pictures".  The version is a little bit different than the one of his album though.  It was played in the episode "Nowhere to Run".  10/10

 4) I Don't Know If I Should Stay: This song was performed by "Alexz" in season three's first episode"Lose Yourself".  It is a ballad that showcases "Alexz's" amazing vocals but it's not my favorite on the album.  8/10

 5) Just the Beginning: "Alexz" sang the song on the show's episode "Heart of Gold" but for the soundtrack it was performed by "Damhnait Doyle" who co-wrote the show.  "Alexz's" version of the song leaked a few years after the soundtrack was released though.  I like "Alexz's" version of the song more.  8/10

 6) Love to Burn: "Alexz" sang the song in the episodes "18 Part 1" and "18 Part 2" but the version on the soundtrack is sung by "Cory Lee".  "Cory" sings the song very well and her voice works really well with the R&B beat but I like "Alexz's" version of the song more.  (Be prepared to see this a couple more times.)  "Alexz's" version of the song leaked a few years after the soundtrack was released.  8/10

 7) Unravelling: "Alexz" sang the song in the third season episode "Nowhere to Run" and the series finale episode "London Calling."  The version on the album is performed by "Tyler Kyte".  "Tyler's" version of the song is awesome and I'm actually not sure whether I like "Tyler's" version or "Alexz's" version more.  To this day, only clips of "Alexz's" version have leaked and the full version hasn't leaked fully yet.  It's an amazing song.  10/10

 8) Don't You Dare: A piano ballad that is sung by "Alexz".  It was featured in the episode "The Long & Winding Road" and while "Alexz" sings amazing on the song, I don't listen to the song that much.  8/10

 9) I Will Be the Flame: This song was performed by "Cory" in the episode "Like A Virgin".  On the episode "Alexz's" character sings the song with "Cory's" character.  It's a pretty good song.  9/10

10) Worth Waiting For: It was performed by "Alexz" in the episode "Start Me Up".  On the soundtrack it is performed by "Tyler".  Like "Unravelling", "Alexz's" version of the song has not leaked fully yet.  The clips of "Alexz's" version that have leaked are really good though.  9/10

11) Darkness Round the Sun: This song actually has 4 versions.  "Zoie Palmer", who played "Patsy Sewer" sang a little bit of it in the episode "Helter Skelter".  "Alexz" sang an acoustic version of the song in the episode "Let It Be", which was the episode where "Alexz" won a "Gemini Award for Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series".  The third version is sung by "Damhnait Doyle" whose version appears on the soundtrack.  The fourth version is musically similar to "Damhait" but is sung by "Alexz".  All versions of the song are amazing and it's my favorite song on the album.  10/10

12) Shooting Star: On the show it was sung by "Zoie Palmer" in the episode "Start Me Up" but the soundtrack has "Lindsay Robins" singing the song.  It's an awesome rock song and I don't listen to it as much as I should.  8/10

13) The Breakdown: Performed by "Alexz" on both the soundtrack and in the episode "Celebrity Skin".  It was written by "Alexz's" brother "Brendan Johnson" and I love the song.  I don't understand why it's not as popular as it should be.  10/10

14) No Shoes, No Shirt: The song is performed by "Cory" and was featured as in the episode "Sympathy For The Devil".  It was also released as a single from "Cory's" album, "Sinful Innocence" under the name "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service".  I don't really listen to the song that much and I don't want it seem that I'm hating on "Cory Lee" on anything like that because she is a great singer.  7/10

The third season soundtrack is really good but it would've been better if the versions of the songs that "Alexz" did on the show were on the soundtrack.  While most of "Alexz's" versions of the songs were leaked, "Unravelling" and "Worth Waiting For" have not leaked in full despite it being 10 years since the release of the soundtrack.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Darkness Round the Sun", "The Breakdown", "Where Does It Hurt", "Unravelling", "What You Need", and "Worth Waiting For".  Out of 140 points I give the album 121 points which is 86%, a B+.

Thanks for reading this review and if you haven't take a listen to the music from "Instant Star" because it's awesome!

Alexz Johnson: Songs from Instant Star

Today I'll be reviewing the first "Instant Star" soundtrack.  Like the second soundtrack, this soundtrack was also performed entirely by "Alexz Johnson".  Here's my track by track review:

 1) 24 Hours: This song was the first and only single from the album.  It was also one of five songs that "Alexz" co-wrote for the album.  The song had a video that was played on "The N" a lot and when it was first played I wasn't a fan until I saw the first episode "Even Better Than The Real Thing".  The chorus is very relatable.  10/10

 2) Temporary Insanity: This song was originally recorded by Canadian band "The Weekend", no to be confused by R&B singer "The Weeknd", for their album "Beatbox My Hearbeat" which was released only two months before this album.  The was used in the season one finale, "Should I Stay or Should I Go?".  It's starts off slow but picks up when the chorus comes in.  Great song.  10/10

 3) Waste My Time (featuring Evren Ozdemir): On the show this was picked as "Alexz Johnson's" character's single.  Wikipedia says that the song features rapper "Evren Ozdemir" who was not on the show but actor "Matthew Brown", who played "Shay" the boyfriend then ex-boyfriend of "Alexz Johnson's" character "Jude", who was seen rapping the song.  Either wikipedia made a mistake or "Matthew Brown" lip-synced the rap part.  The song was featured in two episodes of the show "You Can't Always Get What You Want", where it was being written and recorded, and "Kiss Me Deadly", which showed part of a music video being filmed for it.  The song was covered by french singer, "Marie-Mai" in french and I have to say her version of the song is pretty good.  10/10

 4) Let Me Fall: While "24 Hours" didn't make me a fan when I first heard it, this song I like instantly.  I first heard it when "The N" previewed a lit bit of it on TV before hearing the whole song.  It was featured on the second episode "Come As You Are".  It is an amazing ballad that "Alexz" co-wrote.  It's about what to be able to make mistakes and be yourself without anyone telling you how and what you should be.  10/10

 5) Skin: Every "Instant Star" fan knows this song.  In fact if you go on iTunes and type "Alexz Johnson you will see that it is still her most downloaded song, just like it was when I looked at iTunes back in 2008.  The song is played on acoustic guitar and showcases "Alexz's" amazing vocals.  On the show it was featured on the episode "Won't Get Fooled Again" when "Alexz's" character finds out her father is cheating on her mother.  She then writes and performs the song which leads her father to admit the truth to his wife.  "Alexz" wrote this song with her brother "Brendan" and I'm not sure whether they wrote it for the show or from a personal experience.  Either was this raw ballad is a favorite for any fan of the show.  10/10

 6) I'm In Love With My Guitar: The music to the song is very similar to "24 Hours".  It was used in the third episode "Oh Well, Whatever, Nevermind".  I used to love the song but over the years it's only pretty good now.  The instrumental after the third verse is still amazing though.  7/10

 7) Criminal: This song was the only song on the album that was not featured on "Instant Star and for awhile it was the only song from any of the soundtracks that was never featured on the show until "That Was Us" from the fourth soundtrack didn't appear on the show.  This may be why I don't listen to the song much.  It was written by "Alexz Johnson" and her brother "Brendan Johnson" but it's kinda forgettable after a few listens.  5/10

 8) Time to Be Your 21: The song was used in the episode "Unsweet Sixteen".  Six years later the song would also be played on the season one finale of "Pretty Little Liars".  I remember freaking out when it was played on "Pretty Little Liars" like "OMG, I know this song!".  It's a beautiful ballad that should've been a single.  10/10

 9) It Could Be You: The song was featured in the episode "Hey Sister" and on the show it seems like it was going to be an acoustic song but the song became as upbeat bubblegum pop/rock song.  The song is about two people who obviously have feelings for each but both are afraid to make the first move.  It would be a great song if the production wasn't so distracting.  7/10

10) Me Out of Me: This song is a fast pace rock about telling people that they can't change who you are because you like who you are.  I love the scream part that's played before the chorus is sung a third time.  It was featured in the episode "Lose This Skin".  I wish it was a little longer though.  8/10

11) Pick Up the Pieces: This song was played in the episode "All Apologies".  The song is a pop ballad that's okay but not that great.  It's just too poppy for me.  7/10

12) Your Eyes: This song was played in the episode "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend".  It's a ballad that's pretty okay but I honestly only like the song for the chorus and third verse.  7/10

13) That Girl: Like "Skin" and "Criminal", this song was written by "Alexz" and "Brendan Johnson".  Only a little bit of the song was played in the episode "Train In Vain".  I love the song and wish it was more popular.  10/10

14) Stupid Girl: This song is a cover that was originally performed by the band "Garbage" who released it as a single in 1996 and peaked at number 24 in the U.S.  "Alexz's" version of the song was not released as a single.  The was not played at all in the first season of "Instant Star" but it was played in "No Sleep Til Brooklyn Part 2", the second episode of the second season of the show.  "Alexz's" version is good but sadly not as great as the original.  5/10

The season one soundtrack was the only "Instant Star" soundtrack where "Alexz" co-wrote any material.  She didn't due any writing for the other three soundtracks because she was working on her first non-soundtrack album "Weight" which would later be shelved and leaked onto the internet later on.  Thankfully she eventually would release a new first album called "Voodoo" in 2010.

My favorite songs on the album are: "Let Me Fall", "Skin", "Temporary Insanity", "That Girl", "24 Hours", and "Waste My Time(featuring Evren Ozdemir).  Out of 140 points I give the album 116 points which is 82%, a B.

Thank you for reading this review and leave a comment about what you think of the album.

Alexz Johnson: Songs From Instant Star Two

Today's album review will be of a soundtrack album called "Song From Instant Star Two".  Usually soundtracks have a lot of different artists singing songs but this soundtrack is performed solely by "Alexz Johnson".  For those who don't know "Instant Star" was a TV show that ran for four seasons from 2004-2008, a fifth season was originally planned but the show's networks "CTV" and "The N" both pulled funding after the fourth season so a fifth season didn't happen.  The show followed "Jude Harrison", played by "Alexz Johnson", and her experiences being a singer as well as relationships.  It was a great show.  I'm reviewing the show's second soundtrack because it's my favorite one out of the four soundtracks that the show had.  Here's my track by track review:

 1) Liar Liar: This song is played on the piano during the verses and the drums and guitar come in during the chorus.  The was used in the "Instar Star" episode "Hallelujah".  My favorite line is "hold your eyes up to my veins, call out call out my name."  I'm sure why but that part always gives me goosebumps.  Love the song.  10/10

 2) How Strong Do You Think I Am: This is said to be the first and only single from the album.  It is my favorite song on the album.  The chorus is really empowering and it helped my out through a rough time in high school.  On the show "Alexz" performed part of an acoustic version of the song in the episode "Mother's Little Helper".  While the full version of that was never released, it was still cool to hear it.  10/10

 3) Anyone But You: An upbeat happy song that either be about a friend or lover always being there for you not matter what.  There are three versions of the song.  The first is the one on this album, the second version was featured in the episode "The Jean Genie" which sounds almost the same except "Tyler Kyte" sings in the background, and the third version was an acoustic version that was only partially played in the episode "When I Come Around".  Another great song.  10/10

 4) How I Feel: This song took me a long time to like.  Strange because lyrically it was a song I could relate to when I first heard it.  It's basically about how you're having a bad day and when someone asks you how you're feeling, but instead of saying "I'm fine" you instead blurt out exactly how you really feel.  The song was used in the episode "Problem Child".  9/10

 5) There's Us: I have to be honest.  This is my least favorite song on the album.  "Alexz's" voice is amazing and the lyrics are great but the music to it just doesn't work with it, in my opinion.  There are two other versions of the song.  One is a version that was played in the "Instant Star" season two finale episode, "Date With the Night" where she sings the song with "Zoie Palmer" who played "Patsy Sewer" and that version switches between being acoustic to rock.  The other version is a small clip of a rock version that was played in season three's episode, "Helter Skelter".  Both versions are way better than the album version.  The song was covered by the "Backstreet Boys" as a bonus track for their album, "Unbreakable".  4/10

 6) Over-Rated: This song is strange for me.  On a good day it's just okay, but on a bad day I love it.  The song was played in the episode "I Fought the Law".  I loved the part in the episode when "Alexz" says, after performing the song, "There's no encore so you can all shove it."  The song was covered by "Suzi Rawn" for her debut album "Naked".  8/10

 7) Natural Disaster: This is an acoustic pop/rock song that made me cry when I first heard it.  It doesn't do that as much anymore.  I love the song and wish it was released as a single.  It was performed in the episode "Stranger In the House".  The only thing is not that the song title is never sung in the song at all.  10/10

 8) Fade to Black: This song was used in the episode "Viciousness" which was the name of the movie in that the song was used in the episode.  (The movie doesn't exist in real life, it was just part of the episode.)  The song kinda got part of a music in the episode.  The song is almost great but just not there yet.  7/10

 9) Not Standing Alone: Some people refer to the song as "Not Standing Alone" and some people see it as "Not Standing Around".  It was used in the episode "Miss World".  It reminds me a lot of "Anyone But You" but it's not as great as that song.  7/10

10) My Sweet Time: This song was used in the episode "No Sleep Til Brooklyn, Part 1".  It is also one of the two songs from the album that were actually performed live before the second season premiered.  I initially hated the song at first but over the years it has grown on me.  9/10

11) Another Thin Line: This song was written by "Alexz's" brother "Brendan Johnson" who collaborates with "Alexz" a lot.  The song is the other song that was performed live before the second season of "Instant Star" premiered.  It was played in the season two finale "Date With the Night" with "There's Us".  Unlike "There's Us", I like this song.  10/10

12) Who Am I Fooling: This song talks about trying to show the world that you're perfect and happy all the time but in reality you feel like you want to scream because you're not.  The song was used in the episode "Personality Crisis".  Perfect episode title for this song to be used in.  Good song.  9/10

13) White Lines: This song is a piano ballad that was used in the episode "When I Come Around".  While a lot of "Instant Star" fans loved it, I actually thought it was kinda boring and didn't understand what the big deal was about the song.  After re-watching the second season though I decided to give the song a couple more listens.  These days I think the song is great.  9/10

"Alexz Johnson" sang all the songs for this soundtrack as well as the soundtrack for the first season soundtrack of "Instant Star" but the third and fourth season soundtracks feature other singers despite "Alexz" singing a majority of the songs on the show.  My favorite songs on the album are: "How Strong Do You Think I Am", "Liar Liar", "Natural Disaster", "Anyone But You", "Another Thin Line",  "Who Am I Fooling", and "How I Feel".  Out of 130 points I give the album 112 points which is 86%, a B+.

Thank you for reading this review and if you haven't check out "Instant Star", even though it was cancelled you can still watch it on hulu and amazon.  Also check out "Alexz Johnson's" music because she is an AMAZING singer!

Atomic Kitten: Atomic Kitten Album Review

Today I'll be reviewing "Atomic Kitten's'" self-titled album.  The album was released as the group's first album in the U.S. and consists of tracks from their first two albums, "Right Now" and "Feels So Good".  The album was released in 2003, before iTunes had all of their albums in its store like it does now.  Anyway here's my track by track review:

 1) It's OK!: The song was the first single from "Feels So Good".  It's a ballad about getting over an ex.  Great song.  8/10

 2) Be With You: This song was released as a double A-side single with "The Last Goodbye" from "Feels So Good".  It is an upbeat dance song with a little bit of a disco-esque vibe to it.  The song would later be included on the group's third album, "Ladies Night".  I'm still trying to like the song but it's kinda boring.  7/10

 3) The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling): The second single from "Feels So Good."  It was released as the first, and only, single from this album in the U.S.  It was used to promote the "Lizzie McGuire Movie" but it sadly didn't chart.  It did however get a lot of airplay on Radio Disney and its video was played a lot while the movie was in theaters.  10/10

 4) Feels So Good: The title track from "Feels So Good" as well as the unreleased fifth single from that album.  "Kylie Minogue" wrote and recorded a version of the song but decided to give it to "Atomic Kitten".  Glad she did because the song is fun to dance to.  10/10

 5) Walking on the Water: From the album "Feels So Good".  Great song that should've had a single release.  10/10

 6) Love Doesn't Have to Hurt: The fourth and final single from "Feels So Good".  Lyrically, musically, and vocally beautiful with a great video.  10/10

 7) Love Won't Wait: From the album "Feels So Good".  I'm not a fan of the song and wish it wasn't on the album.  I wish they had put the single version of "You Are" from "Right Now" on instead.  5/10

 8) Whole Again: The fifth single from "Right Now".  It was originally performed with "Kerry Katona" when she was still in the band but once she left it was re-recorded with "Jenny Frost".  The song was actually supposed to be the group's first single in the U.S. and even had a different video for the U.S. as well.  The release was cancelled due to the "September 11th attacks".  The U.S. version of the video was still shown in the U.K. though.  10/10

 9) The Last Goodbye: The third single from "Feels So Good".  This version is the single where "Liz" and "Natasha sing the first verse, "Jenny" and "Natasha" sing the second verse, and "Jenny" and "Liz" sing the last verse.  Love this song.  10/10

10) Right Now: The title track from their first album "Right Now".  The was the group's first single when the group was "Natasha", "Liz", and "Kerry" but once "Kerry" left "Jenny" re-recorded her vocals on the song.  The version that's on this album is the one with "Natasha", "Liz", and "Jenny".  I actually like that one better.  10/10

11) Eternal Flame: The 6th single from "Right Now".  The song is almost exactly the same as the video version except that instead of "Liz" singing "Is this burning, an eternal flame" in the second verse, it's sung by "Natasha".  Not complaining because both versions sound great and I love their version of the song.  It was originally performed by "The Bangles".  10/10

12) The Moment You Leave Me: From the album "Feels So Good".  It's not a bad song but after the last four songs being so awesome, this one is kinda just okay.  7/10

Sadly for "Atomic Kitten", the album failed to chart.  This would lead the girls to focus on their third album "Ladies Night".  I'm sad the album wasn't a success because it had a bunch of great songs.  My favorite songs on the album are: "The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling)", "Eternal Flame", "The Last Goodbye", "Feels So Good", "Love Doesn't Have to Hurt", "Walking on the Water", "Right Now", and "Whole Again".  Out of 120 points I give the album 107 which is 89%, a B+.

I know this review was short given that I had reviewed "Feels So Good" awhile ago and I apologize for that.  It was a long day today and it slipped my mind.  It means a lot to whomever reads this review or any of my other reviews.  I really appreciate it and thank you all.

Play: Us Against the World Album Review

I originally thought about reviewing an E.P. because I'm feeling very exhausted but then I found out that "Play's" self-titled mini album was originally a 12 track album called "Us Against the World".  This is good because reviewing an E.P. wouldn't count as an "album review".  This album, along with "Play Around the Christmas Tree" were the only "Play albums that I hadn't reviewed yet.  The rest of my album reviews of their other albums were done in between 2014 and 2015.  Here's my track by track review:

 1) I'm Gonna Make You Love Me (featuring Chris Trousdale from Dream Street): The second single from the album.  The video was pretty just the girls and "Chris" singing in a recording booth.  The song was also originally performed by "Diana Ross & the Supremes" and "The Temptations".  I had never heard the original before but this wouldn't be the first time "Play" would cover a song from "Diana Ross".  7/10

 2) Us Against the World: The first single from the album and the title track.  If you were a kid/teenager during the early 2000's and watched "Lizzie McGuire", chances are you know this song.  The song peaked at number 14 in Sweden and was the group's only single to chart there until "Famous" was released 9 years later.  The video was pretty good and the only is pretty catchy.  8/10

 3) Cinderella: The third and final single from the album.  While "The Cheetah Girls" version of the song is the most popular, "Play's" released their version of the song first.  Although it turns out the song was originally sung by girl group "i5" who were unable to release it as a single due to their album failing to chart.  The video for "Play's" version showed performances of the song and some behind the scenes of the "Destiny's Child" tour that the group was an opening act for.  The song is about a girl who doesn't need a man to help her because she is independent.  You go girls.  10/10

 4) Hopelessly Devoted: This song was originally performed by "Olivia Newton-John" for the film "Grease".  While her version is a ballad, "Play's" version was an upbeat pop song.  Not bad, but not great.  6/10

 5) Is It Love: This song is a ballad about falling for someone for the first time and wondering if it's love.  While "Faye's" solo's are amazing, the song is kinda cheesy.  6/10

 6) I Don't Get Down Like That: The first time I heard this song was back in 2002 when my sister had got a cd from McDonalds that had this song along with "Wonderland" by "Solange" and "Hanging Up on You" by "Myra".  The song is edgier than the previous ones having a little bit of a rock element to it.  It's song is about a guy who doesn't get the hint that you don't want to be with him.  Why wasn't this a single?!?!  10/10

 7) Disco Hippie: I don't know what's weirder, the title or the song.  3/10

 8) Remember to Forget: This song talks about remembering how badly your ex treated you so that he doesn't have a chance to win you back.  It has the same kinda music style as "I Don't Get Down Like That".  Great song.  10/10

 9) To Live and to Die For: This is a love song and a ballad about not wanting to lose a guy because to you his love is "to live and to die for".  It's cute but they were kids when they were singing these lyrics.  8/10

10) Never Neverland: In this song the narrator has found out that their boyfriend has cheated on them.  The boyfriend then apologizes and thinks everything will go back to normal but the narrator is done with him.  Great song that should've been a single.  10/10

11) Boys Lie: This song talks about a girl who has had her heart broken and now feels that all boys lie.  Apparently some versions of the album didn't include the track on the album because the girls didn't want to offend any boys that may hear it.  That was very sweet of them.  Even though I'm a guy and I felt offended by the lyrics for a minute, I have to admit the song is pretty good.  9/10

12) Watch Me Now: This was apparently the first song the girls ever recorded as a band.  Weird because the song sounds like a song that a popular band would release as their final single as they've broken up.  That's really what I get from this song.  It's still good though.  8/10

When "Play" were going to release "Us Against the World" in the U.S., it was re-titled as "Play" and "Remember to Forget", "To Live and to Die For", "Never Neverland", "Boys Lie", and "Watch Me Now" were not included which made the album "Play" feel more like an E.P. than an actual album.  It sucks given that some of the songs that didn't make on it were much better than some of the ones that made it on the E.P.  My favorite songs are: "Remember to Forget", "Never Neverland", "I Don't Get Down Like That", and "Cinderella".  Out of 120 points I give the album 95 points which is 79%, a C+.

Thank you for reading this review and sorry it's so late!  I'll try to make the next one early!

Lillix: Tigerlily (Japan Version) Album Review

Today's will be of "Lillix's" third, and most recent album, "Tigerlily".  After "Louise" and "Alicia" left the band the Evin sisters, "Lacey-Lee" and "Tasha-Ray" would start recording a third album in 2008.  They would later get new members "Brit Black" (who would leave after releasing one new song with the group), "Eric Hoodicoff", "Cameron Brass", "Scott Thompson" (who would also quit the band but co-wrote one of the songs on the album), and "Alex Varon".  In 2010 they finally released their third album, "Tigerlily" which was the band's original name.  Here's my track by track review:

 1) Dreamland: The third and final single from the album.  The video showed "Tasha-Ray" and "Lacey-Lee" sent to a computerized world in search of a tigerlily as well as performing the song.  They later find one on an amp and one on top of a keyboard.  The video is great, but the song is boring.  6/10

 2) Believer: This song seems to start off being afraid of being alone and wondering where someone you were hoping to see isn't around until the third verse where but it seems by the third verse the person has gotten over that fear.  I'm likely wrong but that's what I get from the lyrics.  Great song though.  10/10

 3) Nowhere to Run: The first single from the album.  A demo of the song had leaked onto youtube a year before it was released.  The video showed "Tasha-Ray" and "Lacey-Lee" being chased by the cops and they manage to avoid them each time until the end of the video where the girls are performing the song and they arrested after the song is finished.  The song is my favorite song on the album and I was thrilled when the video was released because I had been listening to the demo on youtube for a year waiting for it to be released.  It was worth the wait!  10/10

 4) Say No More: This song is a beautiful ballad about a friend who to be going through a rough time and while you don't know what's going through their mind and they don't want to tell the the specifics, you still have their back.  I love the song and wish it was a single.  10/10

 5) Through the Night: I love the intro and the music in the chorus on this song.  It reminds me of "Castle of Illusion Staring Mickey Mouse", the 1990 version the Sega-Genesis.  The song seems to be about standing your ground and not listening to what people are telling you what to do.  It was going to have a video but it was scrapped in favor of a video for another song.  10/10

 6) Dance Alone: This song was released as a promo single in 2009.  It's also the only song on the album that was recorded with "Brit Black".  The song seems to be about wanting a guy to come over to the girl who getting tired of waiting.  It's rumored that the song was supposed to be on "Inside the Hollow".  Not sure if that's true or not but it does have seem like it would fit on that album.  Either way it's a good song.  9/10

 7) 7 Days: The song seems to be not wanting to return home because your boyfriend cheated on you with a girl that he told you he hated.  Well, he lied but the narrator sings "no choice to move on, at least I got a new song."  Love that it ends on a positive note, but it's not one of my favorites.  7/10

 8) Back Up Girl: The second single from the album.  The song talks about how a guy that you liked didn't want to be with you because he liked someone else.  We've all been there.  IT SUCKS!  The video shows "Lacey-Lee" and "Tasha-Ray" driving around and singing at a party.  It has nothing to do with the song at all but at least it had a video.  A remixed version of the song appears as a bonus track on the U.S. version of the album.  It's a great song.  10/10

 9) This Is Goodbye: This is probably the angriest song.  The song is about a guy who you considered a friend, but overtime you realized he was playing you for a fool the whole time.  It would probably be a great song if the music wasn't so distracting.  7/10

The next three songs are only available on the Japanese Version of the album.

10) It's About Time (Remix): Yes, they re-recorded and remixed their very first single.  The original version is pop/rock while the remixed version on this album is pop/trance.  Also "Lacey-Lee" sings the first verse that "Louise" originally sang.  The song is good but the not as good as the original version.  8/10

11) The Outlaw (Introduction): It's an intro into the next song.  It's a great instrumental but it's too short so I can't give it a score.

12) The Outlaw: I don't listen to this song that much, not because I hate it but because it is difficult to find online.  It's a pretty good song and it should've been included on the standard version of the album.  The guitar solos remind me a little of the music in "Sonic Adventure 2".  9/10

Sadly the album was as successful as it should've been.  While the singles were played on radio and the videos were in heavy rotation, none of them charted.  It makes no sense since "Nowhere to Run" and "Back Up Girl" were great, "Dreamland" had a great video bu the song isn't that good compared to all the other songs on the album.  Even though they haven't released an album in 7 years, the band is still together and will hopefully release another album in the future.  My favorite songs are: "Nowhere to Run", "Through the Night", "Say No More", "Believer", and "Back Up Girl".  Out of 110 points (because "The Outlaw (Introduction) doesn't get a score) I give the album 96 points which is 87%, a B+.

Thank you for reading this review and if you haven't check out "Lillix's" music because they're an amazing band.

Lillix: Inside the Hollow Album Review

Continuing with "Lillix's" music (and my waiting until the last minute to to find an album to review) today's review will be of their second album, "Inside the Hollow".  The album was released in 2006 but didn't receive a worldwide release due to their label dissolving.  The album was also the first and only album to feature new drummer "Alicia Warrington".  Here's my track by track review:

 1) Blackout: The verses start slow but it becomes upbeat when the chorus comes in.  The song is about being rejected by a guy and feeling like an outcast.  Sad but sometimes it happens.  8/10

 2) Little Things: This song talks about a relationship that started off good but later got boring for the guy and he break ups with the narrator.  The music almost stays exactly the same throughout the whole song.  7/10

 3) Every Girl: The first 8 seconds make it sound like it's an acoustic song but then the chorus kicks in and it becomes upbeat.  This song talks about experiencing heartbreak and trying to cover it up for the world but on the inside you feel like crying not just for the break-up but for being a guy despite warnings that he's no good.  7/10

 4) Sweet Temptation (Hollow): The first and sadly only single on the album.  The video showed the girls performing in a white room with scenes of people dancing to the song.  It's a very upbeat song but the girls seem a little bored in the video.  It took awhile for me to like the song.  9/10

 5) Doughnut: This song talks about a relationship that seems like it's going well but at the end of the song it's revealed that the guy doesn't want to commit to the relationship.  You're mad because you wasted your time on him for nothing.  It's one of my favorite songs on the album, but I have no idea why they named the song "Doughnut" when the word's never used in the song.  10/10

 6) Wishing Well: This song seems to be talking about a relationship that ended and took away the fantasy of a "happily ever after" moment which leads you to face reality, which can suck at times.  It's a pop/rock ballad that's pretty good after a couple listens.  8/10

 7) Just Like You: In video called "Ask Lillix 6" "Lacey-Lee" said that she wrote the song about her grandfather who had past away and the memories her and her sister "Tasha-Ray" had with him.  I actually thought it was about a friend moving away when I first heard it.  Either way it's my favorite song on the album and I wish it was a single because it's a beautiful song.  10/10

 8) Got Off Easy: This song is an upbeat song about the narrator cheating on their partner and getting away with it.  Even though I hate it when people cheat on their boyfriend/girlfriend, I really like this song.  Does that make me a bad person?  10/10

 9) Turpentine: This song is about feeling like an outside and not knowing where you belong.  I would've loved to see a video for it.  10/10

10) Tempo Change: The music reminds me of their song "Invisible" from "Falling Uphill" until the chorus comes in with a "tempo change".  It's a weird song to me and I don't listen to it that much at all.  5/10

11) Poor Little Girl: This song is about a girl who shows the world that she's happy but on the inside she's hurting inside but is constantly told to be happy even when you're not.  It's an okay song but I don't listen to it that much.  7/10

12) Stay: The longest song on the album that seems to be about a relationship that is ending but you still want that person to be in your life.  I haven't listened to the song that much but it's pretty good.  7/10

After their label folded "Louise" and "Alicia" both quit the band leaving "Tasha-Ray" and "Lacey-Lee" as the only members in the band for awhile.  "Lacey-Lee" would later talk about the aftermath of their label folding and the struggles they faced.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Just Like You", "Got Off Easy", "Doughnut", "Turpentine" and "Sweet Temptation (Hollow)".  Out of 120 points I give the album 98 points which is 81%, a B.

Thank you for reading this review, and I'm sorry it's come so late!  I'll try to get tomorrow's out earlier.

Lillix: Falling Uphill Album Review

Today I will be reviewing "Falling Uphill" by "Lillix".  "Lillix" is band that formed way back in 1997, when the members were kids/teens and also called "Tigerlily".  At that point the band was "Louise Burns" (bassist), "Tasha-Ray Evin" (guitarist), "Lacey-Lee Evin" (keyboardist), and "Sierra Hills" (drummer).  They later signed to "Maverick Records" in 2001 but changed their name to "Lillix" because there was band already called "Tigerlily".  Then in 2002 "Sierra" left the band and was replaced by "Kim Urhahn".  Their album "Falling Uphill" was released a year later in 2003 and I'm reviewing the album today.  Here's my track by track review:

 1) Tomorrow: The third and final single from the album.  The song was co-written by "Linda Perry" who has written songs for "Christina Aguilera", P!nk", and "Alicia Keys", just to name a few.  The song is an upbeat song about spending the day by yourself because everyone else is busy.  The song was given a radio remix which sounds way better than the version on the album because it sounds like a rough demo.  7/10

 2) Quicksand: "Louise" wrote this song.  It's about cliques and stuff in high school that don't matter what you were in high school once you enter "The Real World".  It's a pretty good song.  10/10

 3) It's About Time: The first single from the album.  The song could either be taken as a bittersweet relationship with either a boyfriend or your best friend.  The song song peaked at number 17 on Japan top 20 chart, as well as being the only song on the album to chart.  I love the song and it was later re-recorded as a bonus track on the Japanese version of their third album, "Tigerlily".  10/10

 4) Dirty Sunshine: When I first heard the song I thought it sounded weird.  Several listens later I thought, this track is cool.  I think that lyrics talks about being in an unhappy relationship.  It's very different from the first three songs but still a good song nonetheless.  10/10

 5) Sick: This song is an upbeat pop/rock song about letting go of someone that makes you feel sick.  In a way it can be seen as a continuation of "Dirty Sunshine".  Another great song.  10/10

 6) Invisible: This song was written by "Lacey-Lee".  The song is about not wanting to feel invisible.  It has a good message but the song sounds so weird and feels out of place on the album.  5/10

 7) 24/7: This song was written by "Tasha-Ray".  The song is a happy upbeat song that seems to be about being in a long distance relationship and waiting for that person to come back to you.  I love the song and wish it was released as a single.  10/10

 8) Because: This song was also written by "Tasha-Ray".  It's an upbeat song about a person who never sees your side of an argument that they started.  I don't really listen to the song much "because" it's a little forgettable.  It's also the shortest song on the album being 2 minutes and 26 seconds.  6/10

 9) Promises: Like the previous two songs, this song is written by "Tasha-Ray".  The song seems to be about someone wanting the other person that regardless what happens in the future, that they'll always have each others backs.  It's a pretty good song.  8/10

10) Fork in the Road: This song is written by "Lacey-Lee".  I think the song is about someone who has trouble making their mind up about decisions.  I'm likely wrong which is sad given that the song is one of my favorites on the album.  If anyone knows what the song is about please leave a comment and tell me.  10/10

11) Lost and Confused: This song is written by "Louise".  I don't listen to the song at all mainly because I don't listen to it.  To me it's like "Because" where it's very forgettable.  6/10

12) What I Like About You: The second single from the album as well as the only cover song on the album.  It was originally performed by "The Romantics".  The song was originally recorded as the theme song to a show that was also called "What I Like About You".  It was later put on the album as well as the 2003 remake of "Freaky Friday" which stared "Lindsay Lohan" who also appears in the video.  Really great version of the song.  10/10

"Lillix" has released two albums since "Falling Uphill".  They released their second album "Inside the Hollow" in 2006 with new drummer "Alicia Warrington" after "Kim" but the album was only released in Canada and Japan because their label "Maverick Records" went out of business.  The group was also not picked up by "Warner Bros. Records" like other artists from the previous label.  They would later release "Tigerlily" independently in 2010.

My favorite songs on the album are: "24/7", "It's About Time", "Fork in the Road", "Dirty Sunshine", "What I Like About You", "Sick", and "Quicksand".  Out of 120 points I give the album 102 points which is 85%, a B.

Thank you for reading this review.  I know it's not that good and I'll try to make better reviews in the future.  Also check out "Lillix's" music if you haven't yet.

Hope Partlow: Who We Are Album Review

A lot of people may not have heard of the artist, let alone the album I'm reviewing.  But here's a little summary.  The first time I heard "Hope Partlow" was in the fall of 2005 when her first single, "Who We Are" was released.  I wasn't a big fan of it but when she released her second single "Sick Inside" I thought, this is a good song.  I would later buy the album.  Sadly before the end of 2005, "Hope" was dropped by her label "Virgin Records".  I'll say more at the end of the review.  So here's my track by track review:

 1) Who We Are: The title track and first single.  The song is an empowering song about being proud to be yourself and not care what society wants you to look like.  A couple years after its release, the song was covered by "The Cheetah Girls" for their album "TCG".  I didn't like it at first but it grew on me a bit.  8/10

 2) Don't Go: This song is a ballad about a relationship where both people are not sure if they want to continue being together or should just end it.  Back in'05, the song was one of 4 songs played on her website along with "Who We Are", "Sick Inside", and a remix of "Who We Are" and there were rumors that it was set to be the third single.  Whether it was or wasn't, the plan was likely scrapped after "Hope" was dropped from her label.  Shame because had it been released as a single, it may have helped boost album sales.  It's a great song.  10/10

 3) Crazy Summer Nights: This song has a little bit of a country feel to it.  It's about having an amazing summer with your best friends and living in the moment because as "Hope" says in the third verse, "they say you can't hold to 16 forever".  It's another great song that's very relatable.  10/10

 4) Sick Inside: The second and unfortunately final single from the album.  When it was released it given a radio remix known as the "Peter Mokran Remix".  The song is about kissing a friend's boyfriend on accident because you got caught in the moment and you regret it.  The song is mainly known for its video, which features a young "Zac Effron".  When I say young I mean before "High School Musical" but he still had that hair.  Both versions of the song are great and it was the reason I got the album in the first place.  10/10

 5) Girlfriend: In this upbeat song, "Hope" tells a boy that she wants to be his girlfriend and she promises that she'll never lead him on because she likes him for who he is.  It's a fun song and also another great one on the album.  10/10

 6) Like You Do: This song is about how "Hope" is happy that her boyfriend loves her for who she is and she feels the same way about him.  It's a cute ballad but it feels a little bit boring.  7/10

 7) I Believe In You: In this upbeat song, "Hope" comforts a friend who feels depressed but she reminds that friend that she believes in them and will always have their back.  It's a really sweet song and also fun to listen to.  10/10

 8) It's Too Late: This song is a ballad about a relationship that has ended and you wish that you could've apologized for what you said to them but they've already and you know "it's too late" to get them back.  It's pretty good.  8/10

 9) Cold: Why does this album keep going from ballad to upbeat song?  Anyway this song is about how a relationship has changed.  In the beginning your partner was so in love with you and now they've become distant and has almost given up on the relationship completely.  We've all been there right?  It's one of my favorites on the album.  10/10

10) Through It All: This song has a little hint of country music to it.  The song is about having your partner loving you for who you are and accepting your craziness.  The lyrics and chorus are perfect and it should've been a single.  10/10

11) Everywhere But Here: After a happy song, we come to an angry song.  In this song "Hope" has broken up with her boyfriend because she didn't treat her right.  I love the guitar part in the song.  8/10

12) Let Me Try: In this song "Hope" seems to be telling her boyfriend, or her maybe her parent to let her make her mistakes and try to find herself.  It's the longest song on the album, which may be the reason I don't listen to it much.  7/10

After being dropped from "Virgin Records", "Hope" joined a band called "The Love Willows" with "Ryan Wilson", who she'd later marry.  "The Love Willows" signed with Decca Records" and release a single, "Falling Faster" and an album called "Hey! Hey!".  Unfortunately the band was dropped from "Decca Records" the same month their album was released.  Since then "Hope" and "Ryan" got divorced and she is back to making music, releasing two new songs called "Anymore" and " You Can Have Him".

My favorite songs on the album are: "Through It All", "Don't Go", "Cold", "Sick Inside", "Crazy Summer Nights", "I Believe In You", and "Girlfriend".  Out of 120 points I give the album 108 which is 90%, an A.

Thank you for reading this review and if you haven't, give "Hope's" music a listen to.

Atomic Kitten: Feels So Good Album Review

I wanted to try and type up a review early given that I always type them up at the last minute.  Today I'll be reviewing "Atomic Kitten's" second album "Feels So Good".  The last time I did a review of them was back in 2014 when I reviewed their "Greatest Hits" album.  Crazy how times flies so quickly.  The album was released in 2002 and was the first full album to feature new member, "Jenny Frost" given that the group's previous album "Right Now" had some songs with "Kerry Katona" who "Jenny" would replace until 2012 when "Kerry" would return.  Now onto the review:

 1) It's OK!: The first single from the album.  The song is a ballad about getting over an ex who lied but knowing that you'll be okay.  The song peaked at number 3 in the U.K. and showed "Natasha" singing the verses and "Liz" and "Jenny" taking turns singing the hook.  The video showed the girls going to the beach, driving around, and finally on a different beach dancing with people.  According to "Jenny", "Natasha" was 5 months pregnant when they shot the video.  I would've never guessed that.  8/10

 2) Love Won't Wait: A disco-esque track about not wanting to wait for a guy's love.  The song is pretty boring and sounds a little repetitive.  4/10

 3) The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling): The second single from the album.  It is the only cover on the album, it was originally performed by "The Paragons" but was made famous by "Blondie".  "Atomic Kitten"'s version of the song had an extra bridge, hence the "Get the Feeling" part in the title.  The song was on the "Lizzie McGuire Movie" soundtrack which allowed the group to try and have success in the U.S.  The song became the group's third, and to date last, number 1 in the U.K.  The video showed the girls doing a simple dance, walking in a straight line, and also shows "Natasha" heavily pregnant but she looks beautiful as do "Liz" and "Jenny".  The girls also recorded a spanish version of the song called "Ser tu Pasión".  Some of the production from the song was used from "Billie Piper's" version of the song which was originally going to be the fourth single from her album, "Walk of Life", but she was tired of singing and the release was cancelled.  10/10

 4) Feels So Good: The title track.  It's an uplifting song about being happy.  It's a fun song to dance to and was set to be the fifth single from the album but for unknown reasons was cancelled.  Rumors were that the single version was going to feature "Kylie Minogue" who co-wrote the track, and recorded a version of the song for herself before giving the song to the group.  A fanmade version of both them singing the song together is on youtube.  I like the version on the album and wish it was released as a single.  10/10

 5) Walking on the Water: The first few seconds make the song sound like a ballad before it picks up becoming and upbeat track.  The song is about someone who is always there for you.  It's a great song that should've had a video.  10/10

 6) The Moment You Leave Me: "Liz" sings lead on this song, she also co-wrote this song.  The song is about a girl who is always there for her boyfriend but he's never there for her.  Despite this she can't find the strength to leave him.  It's pretty good.  8/10

 7) The Last Goodbye: The third single from the album.  The version on the album has "Natasha" singing both the first and second verse, while the single version shows her sharing the first verse with "Liz" and the second verse with "Jenny".  The song is a ballad about a couple that's broken up.  The video showed the girls in different parts of the city, each alone where couples are.  At the end of the video the girls meet up with each other while walking down the same street.  The song peaked at number 2 in the U.K. and is another favorite.  10/10

 8) Love Doesn't Have to Hurt: The fourth and final single from the album.  The album version is very different from the single version, given that the single version featured stronger vocals and a production that was little better than the version on the album.  That being said both version are great.  The song is about finding someone who makes you feel happy about being in love with them after several bad relationships.  The song peaked at number 4 in the U.K. which made "Feels So Good" their first, and so far only, album to have all their singles be top 5 hits.  Kudos to them.  Oh, did I mention the song was co-written by "Susanna Hoffs" from "The Bangles"?  10/10

 9) Softer the Touch: An upbeat beat song that sounds like it's about being so into a guy that no matter what he does he makes you feel so good.  It's a great song that probably could've been a hit on the dance charts if it was released in the U.S.  10/10

10) The Way That You Are: "Natasha" co-wrote this song and sings lead on it.  She likely wrote it about her then boyfriend "Fran Cosgrave", the father of her first child.  It wasn't confirmed but that's what I think anyway.  The song is about being in a relationship with someone that makes you so happy that you believe they are your soulmate.  It's a great love song.  10/10

11) Baby Don't U Hurt Me: Co-written by "Jenny", this song is about being with a guy who you believe is the one for you but you tell him not to break your heart because you've been through so many bad relationships in the past.  It's the shortest song on the album being less than 3 minutes.  Wish it was a little single.  9/10

12) So Hot: Another song that was co-written by "Jenny" that in the beginning sounds like a hit until the music changes and it sounds like a boring repetitive song.  The song may be called "So Hot" but is it "So Not".  Get it?  I know, it was a terrible joke but I couldn't resist.  4/10

13) Maybe I'm Right: An R&Bish ballad co-written by "Liz" where all the girls sing lead on different parts of the song.  The song is about being unsure about confessing your feelings to someone who you feel is the one.  It's a pretty good song to relax to song.  8/10

14) No One Loves You (Like I Love You): A dramatic sounding pop ballad about loving someone that you've never told your feelings to in fear of rejection.  It's a beautiful song that I don't listen to as much as I should.  The song is sung solely by "Liz".  7/10

"Atomic Kitten" would release one more album, along with a greatest hits album before calling it quits (temporarily) in 2004.  They would occasionally do one off appearances from 2005 to 2008 before reuniting for "The Big Reunion" in 2013 except "Jenny" was pregnant during this time the group went back to its original line-up of "Liz", "Natasha", and "Kerry" although they've said "Jenny" is welcomed to come back at anytime.  The group would release another greatest hits album called, "Whole Again - The Best of Atomic Kitten" and are rumored to be working on their fourth album.

My favorite songs on the album are: "The Last Goodbye", "The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling)", "Love Doesn't Have to Hurt", "Feels So Good", "Walking on the Water", "Softer the Touch", "The Way That You Are", and "Baby Don't U Hurt Me".  Out of 140 points I give the album 118 points which is 84%, a B.

Thank for reading this review and leave your comments below to tell me what you think of it and if you haven't, make sure to check out "Atomic Kitten's" music on Amazon and iTunes.

Fefe Dobson: Sunday Love Album Review

Today's album review will be of "Fefe Dobson's" "Sunday Love".  The album was originally going to be released in 2005, but the release date was changed so many times until it was cancelled.  Thankfully the album was released to iTunes on December 18th,2012 making it her third album despite being recorded before her second album, "Joy".  "Sunday Love" was supposed to be the followup album to her first album, the self-titled "Fefe Dobson" and showcased a harder rock sound than the previous pop/rock sound from the first album.  She left her label, "Island Records", after the label cancelled the album's release.  "Fefe" began working on a new album, which was "Joy", independently before signing a new deal with "Island Records".  Here' my track by track review of "Sunday Love":

 1) As a Blonde: This is my favorite song on the album.  It's an upbeat song about poking fun at the stereotype that blondes get whatever they want (as someone's who has dyed their hair blonde several times I can tell you that is false), while also pondering what it would be like if you were a blonde.  I love the song and wish it was a single.  The song was covered by "Selena Gomez" with her band "The Scene" for their first album "Kiss & Tell".  Their version isn't as good in my opinion.  10/10

 2) In the Kissah: In this song "Fefe" is in a relationship with a guy who hookups with other girls behind her back and she forgives him each time.  Finally in the third verse it's revealed that they've broken up and she's happy without him.  The song is kinda weak compared to the rest of the album.  5/10

 3) If I Was a Guy: In this song "Fefe" says that if she was a guy she would basically be a douche.  Not being mean but that's what the lyrics are saying.  The song is kinda like "As a Blonde" where that song was saying that blondes get whatever they want and "If I Was a Guy" is saying that guys suck.  Being a guy myself, I was a little hurt when I first heard it but I have to admit that it's a pretty good song.  8/10

 4) Don't Let It Go to Your Head: The first single from the album.  The song is about being in love with someone so much that you feel like your world is ending when they're gone, all while trying to be strong on the outside.  It was the only song on the album to have a video and showed "Fefe" performing the song with her band, jumping on a bed and destroying it, and doing the robot.  The song was covered by "Jordin Sparks" for her second album, "Battlefield" ans was released as the third single from the album.  While "Fefe's" version was upbeat pop/rock, "Jordin" turned the song into an R&B ballad and did a pretty good version of it.  It was also covered by Norwegian girl group, "Lilyjets" who also released the song as their third single from the debut album, "3rd Floor".  Their version was pop/rock like "Fefe's" but their version was an uptempo ballad.  Overall a great song, but sadly it did not chart.  10/10

 5) Get You Off: This song is about a relationship where both people are in too deep that needs to end because it has become so toxic.  It's a pretty good song to rock out to.  8/10

 6) This Is My Life: The second and final single from the album.  It was given a "single version" which makes it sound a little bit more pop, probably for radio.  Despite that it didn't chart nor did it have a video.  The song is about being a relationship where you don't get to spend much time together but you still love the person and are trying to convince them not to end it.  It's a great song and both versions are amazing.  Wish it had a video.  10/10

 7) Scar: This song starts off slow until the chorus comes in making the song an upbeat song.  The song is about a relationship that was perfect in the beginning but now has come to an end after that person says they don't love you anymore.  It's pretty sad but I don't listen to the song that much.  7/10

 8) Miss Vicious: Like the previous song, this one starts off slow before quickly picking up.  The song is told from two different sides.  One from a stalker who is in love with the person, "Miss Vicious" and the other side is told from the person known as "Miss Vicious" who wants nothing to do with them.  The song is pretty good but the ending lyric creeps me out a bit because it seems that the stalker has won.  9/10

 9) Man Meets Boy: This is an acoustic song with very deep lyrics.  The song talks about someone who has been raped and their friend comforts them and tells them that person won't hurt them because the friend will be there to help them to get through it.  It's a really deep song but also really sweet.  8/10

10) Get Over Me: A pop/rock song about a relationship that has just ended.  While the ex wants to stay with the narrator, the narrator tells him that he has to "get over her" because she knows she didn't treat him right and that he deserves better then her.  It's a great song that also should've been a single.  10/10

11) Hole: This songs is about how "Fefe" realizes that no matter what her and her boyfriend do, their relationship is doomed to fail.  The song was co-written by "Kay Hanley", the lead singer of "Letters to Cleo".  The song helped me out a couple years ago when I had writer's block and is awesome to air-guitar to.  9/10

12) The Initiator: Ladies and gentleman beware!  "Fefe's" own the prowl.  That was my first impression of the song when I first heard it.  In this song "Fefe" does not wait for a guy to make to first move, instead she decides to do just that with a guy she likes.  It's a pretty straightforward song with a kick-ass guitar solo.  Did I just type that?  Anyway another favorite of mine.  10/10

13) Yeah Yeah Yeah: In this song "Fefe" talks about a guy that she initially to be with, but he didn't feel the same way and wanted to string her along for the ride.  "Fefe" finally gets tired of this and decides to let him go.  Another great song.  9/10

14) Be Strong: The song is about a girl who is trying to get over their ex and while it's hard for her, she knows that she has to "be strong".  The song was used in the movie, "It's a Boy Girl Thing".  The song starts off sounding like a ballad until the chorus comes in making it more upbeat.  I feel it would've sounded better if it was more of a slow ballad.  Still pretty good though. 6/10

Since "Sunday Love" was officially released, digitally, "Fefe" has released only a few new songs.  She released two singles being, "Legacy" and "In Better Hands" and a promotional single called "Celebrate".  The songs were all set to be on her fourth album, "Firebird" that was scheduled for release in 2013 but to to this day has yet to be released.  Thankfully she is working on a new record that will hopefully be released this year.  My favorite song on the album are: "As a Blonde", "The Initiator", "Don't Let It Go to Your Head", "This Is My Life", "Get Over Me", "Hole", "Miss Vicious", and "Yeah Yeah Yeah".  Out of 140 points I give the album 119 points which is 85%, a B.

Thank you for reading this review and if you haven't yet, check out "Fefe Dobson's" "Sunday Love", as well as her other albums "Joy" and "Fefe Dobson", on iTunes and Amazon.

Tyler Kyte: Talking Pictures Album Review

If you ever watched the show "Instant Star" (2004-2008), then you who "Tyler Kye" is.  If not, then I'll give you a brief description.  "Tyler Kyte" played "Vincent "Spied" Spiederman", the lead guitarist/and one love interest of "Jude Harrison", played by "Alexz Johnson" (whose albums I'll get to reviewing eventually).  That's all I'm gonna tell you about the series because 1) I don't want to give any spoilers and 2) This is an albums reviews blogs not a TV show reviews blog (plus if it was there would rarely be any reviews...not there are much now...)  Anyway this album review will be of "Tyler Kyte's" first album, "Talking Pictures".  Here's my track by track review:

 1) What You Need: The first and only single from the album.  The song was on both "Tyler's" ep, "Let's Talk" and the "Songs from Instant Star Season 3" soundtrack.  The version on the album sounds a little different from the version on the soundtrack.  The song talks about a guy who is love with girl who wants to leave him but he doesn't want that because he loves her too much.  It's a cute song.  10/10

 2) Some Things Are Better Left Alone: This song seems to be a song about a relationship that's hit a standstill because one of them is afraid to say what's on their mind.  I have to say I don't listen to the song that much but "Tyler's" vocals are amazing.  7/10

 3) Talking Pictures: The title track that should've been a single!  The song is about reminiscing about the good times that you had when you were younger.  It's a song that tugs at your heartstrings a little bit.  But like I said earlier, it should've been a single!  10/10

 4) Happiness: This song is a ballad about happiness isn't always easy to find but it's something worth waiting for.  The song is pretty good and the music pretty much stays the same throughout the whole song.  7/10

 5) Say It's Not Over: Continuing with every odd number song being upbeat, "Say It's Not Over" is one of my favorites on the album to listen to.  I'm ashamed to say that I'm not sure what the song is about.  I know that's sad when I just said it's one of my favorites.  10/10

 6) Sarah: Continuing with every even numbered song being a ballad (hehehe), "Sarah" is a piano ballad that "Tyler" wrote about a girl he used to date named "Sarah".  The lyrics are about a guy saying he's nothing without his girlfriend who recently broke up with him.  I don't listen to the song that much because I have a cousin named "Sarah" so it becomes a little awkward.  6/10

 7) One Day Closer: Why do I like all the upbeat songs on this album?!  The song seems to be a love song about waiting for a girl to come beck to you.  I'm likely wrong but that's what I get from the song and I wish it was a single because it probably would've had a great video.  10/10

 8) Meet You In the Middle: This ballad seems to be about seems to be about a girl who ran away from her home because she was hurting but no one saw that because she always hid it with a smile.  It's a sad song but the music is a little too distracting.  6/10

 9) Let's Talk: This is probably the only upbeat song on the record that I don't listen to.  The song seems to be about trying to figure out how you fit "the mold" of business whether it be in the entertainment world or something else.  I'm not really a fan of this song.  6/10

10) Sunlight: The album closer, which is a piano ballad about being in love with someone.  Like all of the other songs on the album, "Tyler's" voice is awesome and it's a pretty good song.  6/10

While "Tyler Kyte" has not released a second album yet he has remained active in music touring with "Nick Rose" and his own band "Tyler Kyte and the Nice Guys."  Also a demo song called "Hanging by a Thread" was leaked onto youtube back in 2013.  Not sure whether it was recorded for "Talking Pictures" or if it was a song set for a second album that was never completed.  Either way it's a great song that I wish got released and not leaked.

My favorite songs on the album are: "Say It's Not Over", "One Day Closer", "Talking Pictures" and "What You Need".  Out of 100 point I give the album 78 points which is 78%, a C+.

Thank you for reading this review and if you haven't please check out "Tyler Kyte's" "Talking Pictures" album!

LeAnn Rimes: This Woman Album Review

Today's album review will be of "LeAnn Rimes'" "This Woman".  The album was released in 2005 and was the follow-up to her "Twisted Angel" album.  The album also returned her to country music after going pop on "Twisted Angel".  Here is my track by track review:

 1) I Want to With You: In this song, the narrator talks about being nervous about love in previous relationships until she finds the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with.  The music starts off slow but the music picks up in once the chorus comes in.  7/10

 2) You Take Me Home: An upbeat song that musically sounds very similar to "LeAnn's" single "We Can" from "Legally Blonde".  The song is one of three songs on the album that "LeAnn" co-wrote and the song is about a how the narrator's boyfriend makes her feel that no matter where she is, he makes everywhere feel like home.  7/10

 3) Something's Gotta Give: The third single from the album.  The song talks about a woman who is reaching her 31st birthday and she thought she'd have a husband and kids but it hasn't happened because all she's been able to find is "Mr.Wrong".  We've all been there...  Anyway the video shows "LeAnn" portraying a woman trying to find "Mr.Right" but every date she finds is terrible.  Thankfully at the third verse, it seems she's found "Mr.Right".  The song is my favorite song on the album and it was the most successful single on the album peaking at number 2 on the "U.S. Hot Country Songs" charts.  This would lead the album to be more successful which although was great, it would lead "LeAnn's" next album "Whatever We Wanna" to not be released in the U.S.  10/10

 4) Won't Be Lonely Long: In this song "LeAnn" sings about being fed up with her boyfriend constantly leaving and while she'll be sad, she knows she "won't be lonely long."  I like it at first but it got boring real quick.  5/10

 5) Nothin' 'bout Love Makes Sense: The first single from the album.  The song talks about love can be confusing at times.  The music pretty much stays the same throughout the whole song, but it's a catchy song that's really good.  It peaked at number 5 on the U.S. Hot Country Songs" chart.  10/10

 6) Probably Wouldn't Be This Way: The second single from the album.  At first listen it seem to be a song about a break-up.  Sadly that's not the case.  The song is an acoustic ballad about the death of a lover.  The video is a little darker where "LeAnn" plays a woman being so sad about her husband that she almost drowns herself.  The song peaked at number 3 on the "U.S. Hot Country Songs" chart and it's an amazing song that "LeAnn" sings beautifully.  10/10

 7) The Weight of Love: This song is a piano ballad where the narrator sings about the highs and lows of love.  I don't listen to the song that much at all because I feel I've heard this kind of song before by other artists.  6/10

 8) With You: No this is not a cover of "Jessica Simpson's" song.  This is an upbeat song about how her biggest weakness is "living happily, ever afterly" with the one she loves.  It's a good song and also one of my favorites.  Wish it was a single.  10/10

 9) I Got It Bad: This song was used a promo for "NASCAR" which makes sense given that it feels like the perfect song to be played during a race.  I really like this song and wish that it had a video.  10/10

10) I Dare You: This song is cover that was originally performed by country group "SHeDAISY" for their album, "Sweet Right Here".  The song is a love song and I initially loved the song until I heard "SHeDAISY's" version and thought their version was way better than "LeAnn's" version.  It's still pretty good.  8/10

11) When This Woman Loves a Man: Like "You Take Me Home" and "I Got It Bad", "LeAnn" co-wrote this song.  Unlike those songs, this is a ballad.  I don't really listen to the song that much but it's an okay song.  6/10

12) Some People: The fourth and final single.  The song is a country ballad about how the narrator is lucky to have a love that so amazing because some people don't get that kind of relationship.  The video showed "LeAnn" and her then-husband "Dean Shermet" at a carnival being blissfully in love, keep in mind the video was shot 2006.  The song was the lowest charting single on the album peaking at number 34 on the "U.S. Hot Country Songs" chart.  A pop version of the song is featured on "LeAnn's" follow-up album, "Whatever We Wanna" and prefer that version but the song is still good.  10/10

The album was commercially a lot better than "LeAnn's" previous album, "Twisted Angel", but I still I like that album a little bit more.  My favorite songs on the album are "Something's Gotta Give", "I Got It Bad", "Probably Wouldn't Be This Way", "With You", "Nothin' bout Love Makes Sense", and "Some People".  Out of 120 points I give the album 99 points which is 82%, a B.  Just 1% lower than my score on "Twisted Angel".  I didn't expect that.

Thank you for reading this review.  I'm sorry for not giving much detail on the album but I was getting a little lazy and tried to do the best I could at short notice.  Please comment what you thought of this review.

Victoria Beckham: Victoria Beckham Album Review

Once again I review one of the "Spice Girls'" solo albums.  Today's review will be of "Victoria Beckham/Posh Spice's" debut album, the self-titled "Victoria Beckham" or "VB" as it shows on the album.  It may be shocking for a lot of people because these days "Victoria" is more known for being a fashion designer and for being married to "David Beckham", but she did try to be a solo singer for a couple years before retiring to become the fashion designer she is today.  Here is my track by track review:

 1) Not Such an Innocent Girl: The first single from the album.  In this song "Victoria" tells the listener she's not so sweet and "innocent" as she's portrayed to be.  The video for the song showed two versions of "Victoria", one dressed in white with blonde hair (the good girl) and one dressed in black with black hair (the bad girl) and shows them doing a dance-off and racing on motorcycles.  The background was shot on a green screen but it was one of, if not the most expensive solo "Spice Girls" video to date.  The song faced a chart battle with "Kylie Minogue's" "Can't Get You Out of My Head" for the number 1 spot in the U.K.  "Kylie" ended getting it while "Victoria's" song peaked at number 6.  I think the video's pretty good, but it did take a while for me to like the song.  9/10

 2) A Mind of Its Own: The second and unfortunately final single from the album.  This song is a ballad about how your heart takes over when it comes to love, even though it has led you to a lot of disappointments.  It's my favorite song on the album and the video showed "Victoria" walking through a forest that leads her to a house, the whole time she's singing the song.  Like the first single, this song also peaked at number 6 in the U.K.  I personally think it should've peaked at number 1 or number 3.  10/10

 3) That Kind of Girl: In this song "Victoria" sings about being the kind of girl who is down to earth and not the kind of girl that the media portrays her as.  It's a kind of an uptempo ballad but it just doesn't do much for me.  5/10

 4) Like That: In this song the narrator is telling her friend that her boyfriend is constantly lying and cheating on her and she wants her to leave him.  It's an uptempo song that screams "SINGLE MATERIAL!"  Why the label never thought about releasing this song as the follow-up to "A Mind of Its Own" is a mystery because it's a great song.  10/10

 5) Girlfriend: In this song the narrator is confronted by a girl who believes she is trying to steal him from her.  The narrator says that the girl's boyfriend came to her and that she should be angry at him and not the narrator.  I don't listen to the song much, but I still think it's pretty good and I wish it had a video.  8/10

 6) Midnight Fantasy: While this song has a very catchy beat, it's very boring.  I usually just skip it.  4/10

 7) I.O.U: "Victoria" confirmed that this song was written about her husband "David Beckham" and she even performed the song on the tv show "Parkinson" (yes there was a talk show with that name) where "David" was in the audience.  Had this song been released as the third single, it likely would've given "Victoria" for first U.K. number 1, but I guess they were scared after "Melanie B's" "Lullaby" didn't do well.  10/10

 8) No Trix, No Games: In this uptempo song, "Victoria" claims to know "what buttons to push to turn a man on".  Given that she's been married to "David" for 18 years, I would say that the lyric is true.  I feel like it would've been a better choice as the first single.  10/10

 9) I Wish: This song was originally set to be the third single.  It was going to released as with a new version featuring singer, "Robbie Craig".  It was performed a few times but once "Victoria" announced her that she was pregnant with her second child, the single was cancelled.  Honestly I'm glad because it was a terrible choice for a single.  The verses are good but the chorus is terrible.  6/10

10) Watcha Talkin' Bout: In this down tempo song, "Victoria" sings about a friend that she used to be close to that would later change into someone fake.  After hearing the second verse, it's clear that the song was about band mate "Geri Halliwell" because she was the one that left the band and clearly the girls felt hurt about that.  The girls are fine now but it must've been awkward when "Geri" heard this one.  It's actually a pretty good song though.  9/10

11) Unconditional Love: This is clearly another song about "David".  The verses are okay but the chorus sounds a little too overproduced and it makes me want to skip it.  4/10

12) Every Part of Me: "Victoria" wrote this song about her son "Brooklyn", in fact his voice can be heard a few times in the song.  It's  a cute song but, and I really hate to say this, but it's another song I skip even though it's lyrically adorable and vocally pretty good.  7/10

Even though it was "Victoria's" first album, it did not feature her first single, "Out of Your Mind (with True Steppers and Dane Bowers) which hit number 2 in the U.K. and to this date is the 4th best selling solo "Spice Girls" single.  The album would peak at number 10 in the U.K., but I feel the album was a little safe because it almost feels like the "Spice Girls" last album "Forever", just with more R&B ballads.  Sadly after "I Wish" was cancelled, "Virgin Records" had dropped "Victoria" just as they did with "Emma Bunton" and "Melanie B".

She would later sign with "Telstar Records" and record two albums.  The first was pop album called "Open Your Eyes" which "Victoria" shelved because she wasn't happy with the finished product.  The second was an R&B/Hip-Hop album "Come Together" which was also shelved due to disagreements with "Victoria's" manager, "Simon Fuller" and the album's producer, "Damon Dash".  Before "Come Together" was shelved "Victoria" did release "Let You Head Go" along with "This Groove" together as a double A-side single.  It peaked at number 3 in the U.K.  "Victoria" did begin to record for a rumored fourth album, but "Telstar Records" went bankrupt and "Victoria" gave up on music to focus on fashion.  The "Open Your Eyes" album would leak around 2006/2007 which apparently "Victoria" wasn't happy with, although that album is amazing.  "Come Together" leaked last year and I have to say it's not that good.

In the end "Victoria" only released one album.  And while she's the only "Spice Girl" not to get a number 1 in the U.K., she is the only "Spice Girl" to have all of the solo singles and albums hit the top 10.  My favorite songs on the album are: "A Mind of Its Own", "No Trix, No Games", "I.O.U", "Like That", and "Not Such an Innocent Girl.  Out of 120 points I give the album 92 points which is 76%, a C+.
