Girls Aloud: Out of Control Album Review

Today I'm reviewing Girls Aloud's fifth studio album, sixth over, "Out of Control".  The album is the last album to feature all new material from the group.  Before the album's release, the album was close to being called "Girls Aloud: Revolution" after one of the songs on this album.  Here's my track by track review:

1) The Promise: The first single from the album.  It has 1960's vibe to it.  The song almost wasn't the first single from the album.  The group had to fight to get it to be the first single.  In the end it hit number 1 in the UK and became one of their biggest hits.  The video was amazing and the song itself won the group a BRIT award.  10/10

2) The Loving Kind: The second single from the album.  This is my favorite song on the album.  The song got comparisons to their single "Call the Shots", that's understandable but both songs are great.  Cheryl and Nadine got injured shooting the video, but the video turned out perfect in the end.  The song became their twentieth consecutive top ten single in the UK.  10/10

3) Rolling Back the Rivers in Time: This song was almost called "50s Sweetheart".  It's a catchy ballad and was one the group's favorites on the album.  It's a pretty good ballad.  9/10

4) Love Is The Key: The song starts off with a dark intro and later turns into a pop song with hints of country in it.  Kimberly write the bridge of this song.  It was also used to promote their special, "The Girls Aloud Party".  A remixed version of the song was also in the special.  10/10

5) Turn to Stone: Not a fan of this song.  The chorus is so bland and boring, plus the production isn't that good either.  The verses are okay though.  5/10

6) Untouchable: The third and final sing from the album.  The song is almost 7 minutes long and apparently it was Hell for the girls to record it because it had a lot of different keys.  When it was released as a single, it remixed and made shorter.  The song had a space themed video.  While it is a strong pop song it is most known for being the group's first single not to hit the top 10 in the UK since it peaked at number 11.  It's still an amazing song.  10/10

7) Fix Me Up: The song was initially called "Grange" and has a very strange auto-tuned intro.  It's very forward and different from what you'd expect from the group but it's still a pretty good song.  9/10

8) Love Is Pain: How do you go from saying "Love Is The Key" to "Love Is Pain"?  Well it makes sense because love is strange like that.  Cheryl's solo at the end is amazing, especially when she dealing with so much from the tabloids about her then husband cheating on her.  The song overall however gets kinda boring after awhile.  7/10

9) Miss You Bow Wow: The title of this song is strange.  That being said it's really good song.  It was one of the songs that the band co-wrote.  I tried to ignore the song because of the title but I cannot deny it's awesomeness.  9/10

10) Revolution in the Head: This song was the reason the album was almost called "Girls Aloud: Revolution".  The song talks about people having dreams and aspirations but not going through with them.  It reminds me of "Real Life" from their second album.  I wish this song was the fourth single from the album, but at least they performed the song on tour.  The song was also co-written by the group.  10/10

11) Live in the Country: While the second verse is awesome, the rest of the song is strange.  It's a drum and bass song that was co-written by the group.  The song has been growing on me and I like it a lot more now but I still think the animal noises at the end of the song are weird.  9/10

12) We Wanna Party: This song was initially recorded for their second album but it didn't fit on that album.  It was later recorded for this album.  The song is okay and is still growing on me.  8/10

"Out of Control" ended up being the group's highest charting album by debuting at number 1.  My favorite songs on the album are: "The Loving Kind", "Revolution in the Head", "Untouchable", "The Promise", "Miss You Bow Wow", and "Love Is The Key".  Out of 120 points I give the album 106 which is 88%, B+.  88%, that's 6 percent higher than "Sound of the Underground".  This is the last review of the month.  I'm still shocked I was able to do a review everyday this month.  Thank you all for reading this review as well as all of the other ones I've posted!  Also you can comment on this review or any of my other ones to say if you liked it, hated it, agreed with it, ir had a different opinion on the album.  Thanks for reading!

Girls Aloud: Tangled Up Album Review

Today I'm reviewing Girls Aloud's fourth studio album, fifth overall, "Tangled Up".  "Tangled Up" was released a year after the group's first greatest hits album, "The Sound of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits".  I'll make this intro short, so here's my track by track review:

1) Call the Shots: The second single from the album.  I said in my review for "Ten" that I didn't like the song much, but since that review I've listened to it a lot and think it's an amazing ballad.  The video was also very beautiful.  The song was the band's favorite on the album.  10/10

2) Close to Love: I can see this song be played in clubs because it's an upbeat dance-pop song.  The album's title comes from a lyric in this song.  In fact sometimes I think the song's titled "Tangled Up" until I look again.  Great song especially the part, "Now my only bet is take a plane ride west, cause I can't regret what I ain't done yet."  The song was also rumored to bee the third single from the album at one point.  10/10

3) Sexy! No No No...: The first single from the album.  It was one of the two songs that the band co-wrote.  While the beginning is dark with Cheryl singing lead with auto-tuned layered vocals, but it picks up into an awesome that makes you get off your chair and dance like an idiot.  Or maybe that's just me.  10/10

4) Girl Overboard: I said in my review for "Ten" that I didn't like the track, but after listening to it a few more times it's grown on me.  Like, "Close to Love" it was almost the third single and I know I said that I was glad it wasn't released as a single from the album but after seeing a youtube video of them performing the song, it changed my opinion of the song.  9/10

5) Can't Speak French: The third and final single from the album.  I said that this was one of my least favorite singles on the "Ten" review and I'm starting to regret saying that.  While I wouldn't have picked it as a single, it's grown a lot on me and I think it's good now.  Florence and the Machine did a cover of the song as well.  9/10

6) Black Jacks: While my opinions of the last two songs have change, my opinion on this one hasn't.  Vocally it's great and the productions good, but is the shouting in the song really necessary?  The song was originally recorded for the group's "Chemistry" album.  7/10

7) Control of the Knife: The song has a reggae feel too it but what is up with the auto-tune parts?  I felt that it brought the song down at first but after a few more listens, I liked the song more.  8/10

8) Fling: This song is clearly talking about a one night stand.  While the interlude to the song on their "Tangled Up Tour" was good, the song is overall boring and a little stupid except Sarah's part.  6/10

9) What You Crying For: This song is my favorite song on the album.  I wish it was released as the fourth single from the album.  The song is a drum and bass track and it's different from the other songs on the album.  The song was also never performed live.  Sad when it's such a great song.  10/10

10) I'm Falling: The intro makes the song sound like it'll be a rock song, sadly that's not the case.  It has a futuristic pop vibe to it.  Production is good but lyrically is boring.  I feel it' the weakest song on the album.  5/10

11) Damn: This song probably could've been on their third album, "Chemistry".  It isn't as dance sounding as the rest of the album.  It's so close to being really good but not close enough.  6/10

12) Crocodile Tears: The song has an amazing intro.  I felt that the song sounded like a watered down ballad version of "Close to Love" but it started to grow on me little bit.  It was one of the two songs on the album that the band co-wrote.  7/10

While "Tangled Up" didn't have four singles like the group's previous singles, the album itself was still a good album.  My favorite songs on the album are: "What You Crying For", "Sexy! No No No...", "Close to Love", "Girl Overboard", "Call the Shots", and "Can't Speak French".  Out of 120 points I give the album 97 which 80%, a B.  Much better than "Chemistry".  Thanks for reading my review.  Come back tomorrow when I review Girls Aloud's fifth album, sixth overall, "Out of Control".

Girls Aloud: Chemistry Album Review

Today I'll be reviewing Girls Aloud's third album, "Chemistry".  I've kinda been hard on some of the songs in the past and I'm gonna be hard on this album so here's my track by track review:

1) Intro: I won't be scoring this song because it's the intro.  That being said it's a great track and I wish it was made into a full song.

2) Models: I don't know why, but I like this song.  Even the "Girls, girls, girls, girls girls" part being repeated in some parts of the song.  The song had a video in 2013 when it was used as an interlude on the group's final show of the "Ten" tour.  9/10

3) Biology: The second single from the album.  The opening paart of the song is a reference to the group almost releasing a cover of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game", which to this day has not been released.  While the song was the highest charting single from the album, I still have no clue what it's about.  7/10

4) Wild Horses: WTF?  The intro is so strange and then the song turned into an upbeat pop track.  I don't really like it.  7/10

5) See the Day: The third single from the album.  Cheryl Cole has said she hates this song.  This would explain why it wasn't performed as much as their other songs.  The video is okay but the isn't that good.  It was a cover originally performed by Dee C. Lee.  5/10

6) Watch Me Go: Boring.  Probably the weakest song on the album.  3/10

7) Waiting: Hated this song at first, but it's growing on me.  The chorus is pretty catchy and the production is good.  8/10

8) Whole Lotta History: The fourth and final single from the album.  This is my favorite song on the album.  It's an amazing ballad both vocally and lyrically.  On the group's show "Off the Record" Sarah said that the song deserved to be in the top 3 of the charts.  I agree with her but the song still did good by peaking at number 6 on the charts.  10/10

9) Long Hot Summer: The first single from the album.  I really like this song and I don't know why Brian Higgins said that it was a disaster record.  I think it's a good song but it should've been the third single instead of the first.  9/10

10) Swinging London Town: The song is kinda a dark pop song.  I'd love the song if the group's vocals weren't buried in the song's instrumental.  6/10

11) It's Magic: This song was the only song that the group got credit for writing.  Since Nicola sings lead on the song, it is likely that she co-wrote.  Even though Nicola is an amazing singer and writer, the production brings the song down.  5/10

12) No Regret: This song is a mid-tempo ballad sung only by Nadine.  While it showcases her vocals perfectly, the song is really boring.  5/10

13) Racy Lacey: This song talks about a woman who sleeps with men so she can live the perfect lifestyle.  While the song is different from other songs that the group have sang, it's actually one of the best songs on the album.  I wonder why it wasn't a single.  9/10

It's kind obvious from looking at this review that "Chemistry" is my least favorite Girls Aloud album.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Whole Lotta History", "Racy Lacey", "Long Hot Summer", "Models" "Waiting", and "Intro".  Out of 120 points I give the album 83 points which is 69%, a D+.  Thanks for reading this review, come back tomorrow when I review Girls Aloud's fourth album, "Tangled Up"!

Girls Aloud: What Will the Neighbors Say Album Review

I figure with there only being a few more days until the month is over, I'd just let the rest of the reviews for the month be Girls Aloud albums.  Today I'll be reviewing their second album, "What Will the Neighbors Say".  Here's my track by track review:

1) The Show: The first single from the album.  While the video is funny, I think the song was too safe to release as the first single from the album.  I like it, but I think it should've been the fourth single from the album instead.  8/10

2) Love Machine: The second single from the album.  The album title comes from a lyric in this song.  It's pretty funny how the group didn't want this song released as a single and yet it was successful on the charts.  It's a very catchy song that's fun to dance to.  8/10

3) I'll Stand by You: The third single from the album.  I think it's a good cover with a good video.  I don't know why the group always got negative reviews when they did cover songs.  The song became their second number 1 in the UK.  9/10

4) Jump: Didn't I just review this song yesterday?  This is the fourth time I've reviewed it, so I'll make it short.  It's a good song.  10/10

5) Wake Me Up: The fourth and final single from the album.  I like how this song is more edgier than the previous four songs.  I wish it was the first single from the album.  I didn't think Nicola had a solo on this song until I saw the video and saw the she had the first part of the second verse.  I was surprised because her voice is low in this song unlike the rest of the group's songs and singles.  10/10

6) Deadlines & Diets: The group wanted this song to be the second single from the album instead of "Love Machine", kinda glad that didn't happen.  The production is good and it's an okay ballad but it feels like one of those songs that you've heard a million times before.  5/10

7) Big Brother: This song was co-written by Cheryl Cole.  While the production is great, the overall sounds weak.  2/10

8) Hear Me Out: This song was co-written by Sarah Harding.  It's a mid-tempo ballad that feels boring at first but after a couple of listens, it's pretty good.  6/10

9) Graffiti My Soul: This is my favorite song on the album.  It was supposed to be given to Britney Spears but I'm so glad it went to Girls Aloud.  The song was going to be the fifth and final single from the album, but it was cancelled so the group could record, "Chemistry".  It sucks that this song wasn't a single when it's so good.  Cheryl Cole even wished the band released this song as a single.  10/10

10) Real Life: From Sarah and Kimberly singing the chorus in the beginning to the ending, this song is awesome.  The lyrics are awesome and the song is really good.  Wonder why it wasn't a single.  10/10

11) Here We Go: This song is a cover, it was originally recorded by Moonbaby a.k.a. Miranda Cooper who has co-written a majority of the band's songs with Brian Higgins.  This is probably the only cover song the band has done that has got mainly positive reviews.  The song is pretty good, especially the chorus.  10/10

12) Thank Me Daddy: Kimberley Walsh co-wrote this song.  I kinda feel it's boring.  3/10

13) I Say a Prayer for You: Nicola Roberts co-wrote as well as sang this song by herself.  While her vocals are amazing, I forget about this song a lot.  6/10

14) 100 Different Ways: Nadine Coyle co-wrote and sang lead on this song.  It's a good ballad and her vocals are great.  It's still growing on me.  5/10

"What Will the Neighbors Say" continued the group's success with four top 5 hits in the UK.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Graffiti My Soul", "Wake Me Up", "Real Life", "Jump", "I'll Stand by You", and "Here We Go".  Out of 140 points I give the album 112 which is 80%, a B.  Thanks for reading my review and come back tomorrow to read my review of their third album, "Chemistry"!

Girls Aloud: Sound of the Underground Re-Release Album Review

I initially planned on reviewing a totally different album and artist, but I've been listening to so much Girls Aloud music that I thought it made sense to review another one of their albums.  This time I'll be reviewing the re-released version of their first album, "Sound of the Underground".  For those wondering how I got into listening to Girls Aloud when none of their music was released in the U.S., this is how: I had that B*Witched, who had hit with "C'est la Vie" in the U.S., were reuniting on a show called "The Big Reunion".  Atomic Kitten were also reuniting on that show.  I looked that band up and one that group's previous members was Heidi Range from the Sugababes, who did a cover of "Walk this Way" with Girls Aloud.  Just thought I'd throw that out there.  Now here's my track by track review:

1) Sound of the Underground: The first single and title track from this album, as well as the group's debut single.  It's still a really cool pop/rock song and my favorite song from them.  It's really fun to dance like a fool to.  This chorus is my favorite part of the song.  10/10

2) No Good Advice: The second single from the album.  Apparently the group had to re-record the song because it had some explicit words in it.  That being said, the song is still good and relatable with a cool video.  10/10

3) Life Got Cold: The third single from the album.  The song was one of the last one's recorded for the album.  The line, "I don't believe in Romeo's and heroes anymore" always sticks out to me for some reason.  It's a very dark ballad that shows a different side to the group.  10/10

4) Jump: The fourth and final single from the album.  This song was one of the new songs put on the re-release.  It was also more happy sounding than the group's first three singles.  It's an upbeat, fun pop song to "jump" and dance to.  10/10

5) Some Kind of Miracle: This version of the song is a new version that was supposed to be released as the fourth single.  But it scrapped in favor of "Jump".  The original version of the song was going to be the third single, but "Life Got Cold" replaced it.  This song can't catch a break.  I love both versions and I was surprised to find out that the song was co-written by Edele Lynch from "B*Witched".  10/10

6) All I Need (All I Don't): A dance-pop song that feels like it could've been on a Kylie Minogue album.  It's good at first but it does get tiring after awhile.  6/10

7) Mars Attack: I'm curious why the title of the song is "Mars Attack" when the title is never said at all in the song.  Like "All I Need (All I Don't)", it's a dance-pop song but it's better than the other in my opinion.  8/10

8) You Freak Me Out: This song was recorded specifically for the film, "Freaky Friday".  It was also supposed to be a single, but the release was canceled so the group could record their second album, "What Will the Neighbors Say".  I just started listening to this song a few days ago and I think it's pretty good.  10/10

9) Girls Allowed: Interesting song title when the group is also called "Girls Aloud", just with different spelling.  The song was co-written by Brian McFadden.  It's a really cool song to dance like a fool to.  10/10

10) Forever and a Night: A beautiful ballad that sounds like it could've been released as a single for Christmas.  I don't listen to the song much but I still like it, especially the chorus.  8/10

11) Love/Hate: I don't really listen to this song that much.  I like the chorus, but the song isn't very memorable.  6/10

12) Boogie Down Love: The strangest title for a song on this album.  The song is also really weird and to me it's the weakest song on the album.  4/10

13) Stop: Nadine Coyle sings the whole song, except the chorus, by herself.  While her vocals are amazing, this song is pretty forgettable.  6/10

14) White Lies: This song is about how your partner keeps lying and keeping secrets from you and you've had enough of it.  I love the song and you can feel the emotion of the song in the group's vocals.  Perfect song.  10/10

15) Girls on Film: This song is a cover.  The song was originally recorded by the band, Duran Duran.  This song was also a b-side of the group's single, "Life Got Cold".  I think it's okay but I don't listen to it much.  5/10

"Sound of the Underground" was a huge success for the group and one of two of their albums to have all the singles peak into the top 5 in the UK charts.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Sound of the Underground", "Some Kind of Miracle", "Life Got Cold", "White Lies", "Jump", "No Good Advice", "Girls Allowed", and "You Freak Me Out".  Out of 150 points I give the album 123 points which is 82%, a B.  Awesome.  Thanks for reading my review and I hope you liked it.

Kelly Clarkson:Thankful Album Review

I figured since I reviewed most of Kelly Clarkson's albums, it only seemed right to review her first album "Thankful".  I'll make this introduction short, so here's my track by track review:

1) The Trouble with Love Is: The fourth and final single from the album.  The song is an r&b ballad, which is much different from the music she sings now.  It was also released to promote the film "Love Actually", this is the third song I've reviewed that was a part of that movie.  While Kelly's vocals are great, the song gets a little boring after awhile.  7/10

2) Miss Independent: The second single from the album.  I already reviewed this song on my review for "Greatest Hits - Chapter One".  That being said, I wonder when Christina Aguilera's version of the song will be released since she had the song first.  10/10

3) Low: The third single from the album.  This song used to be favorite song on the album but these days I find it to be too similar to Avril Lavigne's "Losing Grip", probably because both songs were produced by Clif Magness.  The song talks about reflecting on a bad relationship and the video was pretty good.  9/10

4) Some Kind of Miracle: No this not a cover of the Girls Aloud song.  Just wanted throw that out there.  It is a r&b ballad but I feel it's kinda weak.  5/10

5) What's Up Lonely: Catchy after the first listen but then it gets boring after the second.  4/10

6) Just Missed the Train: This song is a cover.  The original version was sung by Danielle Brisebois.  The song is a beautiful ballad that almost became a single.  Sadly because "Low" and "The Trouble with Love Is" failed to gain much success, the single release was scrapped.  10/10

7) Beautiful Disaster: Like I said in my review of "Breakaway", I heard the live version from that album first so when i heard this version I was surprised.  The song should've been a single because it's perfect.  10/10

8) You Thought Wrong (featuring Tamyra Gray): This song is my favorite song on the album.  It's about how two women find out they're with the same guy and instead of fighting, they team up to make his life hell.  It was also supposed to be a single, but because her previous singles didn't do so well tits release was cancelled.  10/10

9) Thankful: The title track.  The lyrics are okay but the overall song is boring.  4/10

10) Anytime: This song wasn't supposed to be on the album.  It replaced one of two songs, "Trace of Gold" and "Today for Me", originally to be on the album.  The vocals are good but the song is the weakest on the album.  3/10

11) A Moment Like This: The first single from the album.  I already reviewed it on my review for "Greatest Hits - Chapter One".  Like "Anytime" this song wasn't supposed to be on the album but I'm kinda glad it was included.  9/10

12) Before Your Love: This song had a video and while the lyrics and her vocals are amazing, the overall song is boring.  4/10

In my opinion "Thankful" wasn't Kelly's strongest album, but then again she didn't have much time to record it.  My favorite songs on the album are: "You Thought Wrong (featuring Tamyra Gray)", "Beautiful Disaster", "Just Missed the Train", "Low", and "Miss Independent".  Out of 120 points I give the album 85 which is 70%, a C.  Thankfully Kelly has recorded better material over the years.  Thanks for reading my review!

Kelly Clarkson: My December Album Review

Kelly Clarkson is one of the most successful artists around as well as one of the most successful people to do "American Idol".  Today I'll be reviewing her third album, "My December".  This album caused some controversy because it was more rock and darker than her previous album.  On top of that she had to fight with her label to get it released.  Her label at one point even wanted her to scrap 5 songs and record 5 radio friendly sons, one of which was "Black Hole", a song originally recorded by Lindsay Lohan.  Kelly refused to do that though, but there are rumors that her label tried to do the same with Avril Lavigne's "Goodbye Lullaby" except they asked her to take 2 songs off and replace them.  That would explain why "What the Hell" and "Smile" were on the record and why "Gone" and "Fine" weren't.  But that's a different story!  Anyway here's my track by track review:

1) Never Again: The first single from the album.  While the song was hit, it didn't get much airplay.  In fact the song charted mainly because of downloads.  In the video Kelly's boyfriend tries to drown her so he can be with the woman he's having an affair with.  He keeps thinking he sees her ghost haunting him.  By the end of the video it's shown that Kelly didn't drown and the man had been dreaming but Kelly leaves him.  10/10

2) One Minute: The second from the album in Australia and the third single overall.  This song was supposed to be on "Breakaway" but it didn't make the cut.  It was then reworked for this album.  I love this song and wish it was released in the U.S.  The video was just a live performance of the song.  10/10

3) Hole: Awesome guitar solo in the beginning.  The chorus is what made me a fan of this song and I think it's about when everything just hitting you at once and it's hard to deal with it.  9/10

4) Sober: The second and final single in the U.S. as well the second overall single.  I keep thinking the song is called "3 Months" because that's what's sung the most.  While the song didn't have a video and didn't do well on the charts, it's still a ballad that is amazing.  Wish it got the attention it deserved.  10/10

5) Don't Waste Your Time: The third single in Australia and the overall fourth and final single from the album.  The video is basically a darker version of "Sleeping Beauty".  It's a great video and the song very relatable.  10/10

6) Judas: No this a cover of that Lady Gaga song with the same name.  This song first, about four years before her's song came out.  Anyway this song was almost a single but Kelly wasn't sure about releasing it because it was too personal.  This song is about betrayal and it's a song I can relate to a little too well.  10/10

7) Haunted: This song is my favorite on the album.  Websites have said that the song is about a friend of Kelly's who committed suicide.  Now I'm glad it wasn't a single because this song would've been hard to promote.  It also feels like a song Evanescence would've sung.  10/10

8) Be Still: A slow song that's vocally amazing but it reminds me too much of "Sober".  7/10

9) Maybe: This song starts slow but becomes a little more upbeat later on.  I don't listen to it as much but I'll try to after this review.  7/10

10) How I Feel: This song feels out of place ob this album.  It's the most pop sounding song on the album.  I'm also confused why it wasn't a single.  8/10

11) Yeah: Instrumentals, great.  Lyrics, okay.  Overall song, strange.  5/10

12) Can I Have a Kiss: It starts off slow and acoustic but later picks up.  That being said it's not very memorable.  6/10

13) Irvine/Chivas: "Irvine" is a beautiful acoustic song that is vocally amazing but overall kinda boring.  "Chivas" is a hidden track played after "Irvine".  It's pretty good but the title is a little strange.  6/10

While it didn't get the promotion it deserved, "My December" is still an amazing album.  That being said, I still wish she released a cover of Lindsay Lohan's "Black Hole".  My favorite songs on the album are: "Haunted", "One Minute", "Don't Waste Your Time", "Never Again", "Sober" and "Hole".  Out of 130 points I give the album 108 points which is 83%, a B.  Awesome!

Girls Aloud: The Sound of Girls Aloud: Greatest Hits Album Review

What is up with me being lazy these days?  Today I'll be reviewing Girls Aloud's first greatest hits album.  While a lot of the songs on here were ones I reviewed for their second greatest hits album, "Ten", I will be adding more to some those songs because I forgot to put a few more things on them.  Anyway here's my track by track review:

1) Sound of the Underground: The first single and title track from their first album "Sound of the Underground".  The song almost wasn't theirs.  Irish singer Samantha Mumba was supposed to record the song but she decided on a different song.  This song is one of the group's biggest hits to this day.  10/10

2) Love Machine: The second single from their second album, "What Will the Neighbors Say".  Even though the group wanted "Diets and Deadlines", which isn't that good of a song, this was released and did pretty well.  8/10

3) Biology: The second single from their third album "Chemistry".  Not much to say except that I still don't understand the song.  Sarah Harding has said that she though the song was made up of three different songs put together.  I think she might be right.  7/10

4) No Good Advice: The second single from their first album, "Sound of the Underground".  It's weird how the group didn't want this song until writer Brian Higgins talked with them about it.  A very relatable song, lyrically.  10/10

5) I'll Stand by You: The third single from their second album, "What Will the Neighbors Say".  While the group always got negative reviews for their covers, except on their cover of "Here We Go", this song is still great.  9/10

6) Jump: The fourth and final single from "Sound of the Underground".  Had they not been asked to do a song for the movie "Love Actually", this song wouldn't have been covered or released as a single.  In fact the band was supposed to release "Some Kind of Miracle" as their fourth single.  It's sad that didn't happen but I love both songs, just wish that "Some Kind of Miracle" would've had a chance.  10/10

7) The Show: The first single from the second album, "What Will the Neighbors Say".  The song is okay.  Before the release of the second album, this song was one of four songs to be the lead single from the album.  The other three songs were "Wake Me Up", "Graffiti My Soul", and "Androgynous Girls".  While "The Show" became the first single, I feel it was a weak choice since the other songs were stronger.  8/10

8) See the Day: The third single from their third album "Chemistry".  Finally a song I haven't reviewed yet.  The song is a cover originally performed by Dee C. Lee.  Cheryl Cole regrets releasing this song as a single and was only released because the group was stuck on ballads.  Strange considering the fourth and final single from that album, "Whole Lotta History", which was also a ballad, was released after this song.  "Whole Lotta History" should've been the third single and then they could've released a different song as the fourth single like "Models" from the same album.  6/10

9) Wake Me Up: The fourth and final single from their second "What Will the Neighbors Say".  Although I love the song and video, I'm still annoyed that it wasn't the first single.  "Sound of the Underground" was a hard, edgy song and it was the group's first single from their first album, but I guess I shouldn't complain because the song was released as a single later on.  10/10

10) Life Got Cold: The third single from their first album, "Sound of the Underground".  Like "Jump", this song wasn't planned as the third single.  "Some Kind of Miracle" was supposed to be the third single but it was changed.  "Life Got Cold" is a sad ballad and was the group's favorite song from the album.  It's guitar parts makes the song sound almost like Oasis' song, "Wonderwall".  That being said it's a great song and a great ballad.  10/10

11) Something Kinda Ooooh: The first single from this album.  I love dancing like a fool to it.  The songs is still amazing even though the video is just...okay.  10/10

12) Whole Lotta History: The fourth and final single from their third album, "Chemistry".  I know I'm a little mean to their album "Chemistry", but I have to say this is one of the best songs from that album.  A lot of people can relate to this beautiful ballad.  10/10

13) Long Hot Summer: The first single from their third album, "Chemistry".  The song was written for the movie, "Herbie: Fully Loaded" but the song wasn't included on the soundtrack or the movie.  Brian Higgins has since said that the song was a disaster record and he can't stand it.  Oddly enough, I like the song.  I hated it at first but I gave it another chance and I think it's a pretty good song despite it being the group first song in the U.K. to miss the top 5 by peaking at number 7.  9/10

14) Money: A new song that wasn't released as a single.  I find the song to be a little strange and I still don't know if I like it or not.  For now I say it's descent.  8/10

15) I Think We're Alone Now: The second and final single from this album.  The song is a cover originally performed by Tommy James and the Shondells and later made more popular by Tiffany.  The song's video had three different endings.  One was the girls getting caught and being tied up, one was of Kimberly making the casino owners faint, and the last one was the girls playing with the money.  The song was a bad choice as a single.  6/10

While the chances of a Girls Aloud reunion are unlikely we still have their amazing albums until the day they reunite.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Sound of the Underground", "Whole Lotta History", "Wake Me Up", "No Good Advice", "Something Kindaa Ooooh", "Jump", "Life Got Cold", "Long Hot Summer", and "I'll Stand by You".  Out of 150 points I give the album 131 which is 87%, a B+.  Awesome, and I promise tomorrow I won't be lazy doing a review!

Kelly Clarkson: Greatest Hits - Chapter One Album Review

Like I said in my review yesterday, I was most likely gonna do another Kelly Clarkson album review.  Today I'll be reviewing her greatest hits album, mainly because I'm really busy today and needed to do a quick review today.  Sorry!  I promise tomorrow's review will be longer.  Anyway here's my track by track review:

1) Since U Been Gone: The second single from "Breakaway".  I already reviewed the song on my album review for "Breakaway".  Still a great way to start the album off though.  10/10

2) My Life Would Suck Without You: The first single from "All I Ever Wanted".  I already reviewed this song in my review for "All I Ever Wanted" yesterday.  10/10

3) Miss Independent: The second single from "Thankful".  I haven't reviewed that album, just thought I'd throw that in there haha.  The song was co-written by Christina Aguilera and it was supposed to be on her album, "Stripped" but it wasn't put on her album so Kelly got it.  Apparently Kelly had to fight to have the song on her "Thankful" album and it was put on and became a hit.  10/10

4) Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You): The second single from "Stronger".  I already reviewed the song on my album review for "Stronger".  10/10

5) Behind These Hazel Eyes: The third single from "Breakaway".  Already reviewed it in my album review for "Breakaway".  10/10

6) Because of You: The fourth single from "Breakaway".  Already reviewed it in my album review for "Breakaway".  I did forget to mention in that review though that Kelly re-recorded the song with country singer, Reba McEntire for Reba's album "Duets".  Both versions of the song are amazing.  10/10

7) Never Again: The first single and only song on the album from "My December".  The song was much more darker and had a rock sound as opposed to the 5 singles from "Breakaway".  It was a hit though and the video was pretty intense but cool at the same time.  10/10

8) Already Gone: The third single from "All I Ever Wanted".  I already reviewed this song on my album review for "All I Ever Wanted" yesterday.  I know this song was a single but I wish "I Do Not Hook Up" was on here instead of "Already Gone".  7/10

9) Mr. Know It All: The first single from "Stronger".  I already reviewed this song on my album review for "Stronger".  9/10

10) Breakaway: The first single from "Breakaway" and "The Princess Diaries 2 Soundtrack".  I already reviewed this song on my album review for "Breakaway".  10/10

11) Don't You Wanna Stay (duet with Jason Aldean): The second single from Jason Aldean's album, "My Kinda Party", as well a bonus track on the deluxe edition of Kelly's album, "Stronger".  I already reviewed this song on my album review for "Stronger".  9/10

12) Walk Away: The fifth and final single from "Breakaway".  I already reviewed this song on my album review for "Breakaway".  Anyone else getting tired of this?  10/10

13) Catch My Breath: The first single from this album.  Lyrically the song talks about Kelly's journey as an artist and also empowering.  From the music, to the lyrics to video, this song is just perfect.  10/10

14) People Like Us: The third and final single from this album.  The song is an empowering dance-pop song about being happy of who you are.  I love the chorus so much.  The video was also pretty cool.  10/10

15) Don't Rush (featuring Vince Gill): The second single from this album.  This song is a country song and it proves that Kelly can do country music as well.  It also features country singer, Vince Gill.  The song is about taking time with love.  It was also nominated for a grammy.  10/10

16) A Moment Like This: The first single from "Thankful" as well as Kelly's debut single.  The song hit number 1 in the U.S. and since its release, the song has been covered by many different artists like Leona Lewis.  9/10

17) I'll Be Home for Christmas: From her "iTunes Sessions Ep" and later a bonus track on her sixth album "Wrapped in Red", released a year after this album.  It was also a single from her "iTunes Sessions Ep".  I think the song is pretty good, but I wish "Dark Side" was on here instead.  7/10

"Greatest Hits - Chapter One" most of Kelly's best songs, as well as new tracks.  I love all the songs on the album.  Out of 170 points I give the album 161 which is 94%, an A.  Awesome job and I wonder what "Greatest Hits - Chapter Two" will be like when it's released but that's a long way's away from now.

Kelly Clarkson: All I Ever Wanted Album Review

I seem to be liking a lot of Kelly Clarkson's songs these days.  Today I'll be reviewing her fourth album, "All I Ever Wanted".  Here's my track by track review:

1) My Life Would Suck Without You: The first single from the album.  The song currently holds the record for biggest jump on the U.S. billboard chart from 97 to number 1.  I hated the song at first but after a couple listens I liked it.  The video was pretty good.  10/10

2) I Do Not Hook Up: The second single from the album.  The song was co-written by Katy Perry and she also recorded a version of the song.  I liked it more than the first single and I like how the song is saying that you want to fall in love instead of hooking up with a random guy.  10/10

3) Cry: The first ballad on the album.  Clarkson wanted the song to be released as the third single from the album but that didn't happen.  It did get released as the 5th and final single from the album but only in Germany and Australia.  I ignored the song at first but I like it now.  9/10

4) Don't Let Me Stop You: I love this song!  This is my favorite song on the album.  I question why it wasn't released as a single.  The song is about the person you're with and how they can't decide what they want and you're tired of them being hot and cold all the time.  10/10

5) All I Ever Wanted: The fourth single from the album.  This song is a cover.  The original version of the song was sung by the band Aranda.  From the guitar solo at the beginning to the drums and keyboard part at the end, this song is awesome.  The song starts slow but the chorus is so "in your face".  While it didn't have a video, it did have airplay on radio.  10/10

6) Already Gone: The third single from the album.  This song cause controversy because it sounded similar to Beyonce's song, "Halo".  Funny enough both songs were produced and co-written by Ryan Tedder.  I prefer the acoustic version of this song because I'm not a fan of the version on this album.  7/10

7) If I Can't Have You: This song is about wanting someone and if you can't be with them then you don't want anyone because you feel they are "the one".  The song would've been great as a single since it has radio appeal, but the auto-tune on the song isn't needed when Kelly has an amazing voice.  Thankfully a she released an acoustic version of the song in 2011 on her "The Smoakstack Sessions ep", and that version is better than the original in my opinion.  8/10

8) Save You: I'm gonna be honest, this is one of the songs I don't really listen to.  In fact I decided to listen to it a few minutes ago and thought, wow this song is good.  It's a great ballad about wanting to save someone from all their problems.  8/10

9) Whyyawannabringmedown: This song, pronounced "why ya wanna bring me down", is also a cover that was originally sung by the band Aranda.  The song is very "in your face" and different from a lot of the stuff she's done but it's an awesome song.  10/10

10) Long Shot: Katy Perry co-write this song too.  While Katy's version of "I Do Not Hook Up" is a little better than Kelly's, her version of "Long Shot" is no where near as good as Kelly's.  The song is about taking a chance on love despite all the people who are against you and the person you're with.  10/10

11) Impossible: I ignored this song for awhile too.  Now I can't get the lyric, "can't change the wind you say, won't matter anyway" out of my head.  Great song.  7/10

12) Ready: Uggh.  This song is so boring to me.  I usually just skip it.  5/10

13) I Want You: The intro to this song is just "WTF".  It's so repetitive and in my opinion it's the worst song on the album.  3/10

14) If No One Will Listen: While I don't listen to the song that much, I think it's an amazing ballad that showcases her flawless vocals perfectly.  Kelly also produced this song herself.  7/10

"All I Ever Wanted" debuted at number 1 in the U.S. and was much lighter than her previous record.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Don't Let Me Stop You", "Long Shot", "Whyyawannabringmedown", "I Do Not Hook Up", "All I Ever Wanted", and "My Life Would Suck Without You".  Out of 140 points I give the album 114 which is 81%, a B.  Don't surprised if I review another Kelly Clarkson album tomorrow!

Kelly Clarkson: Stronger Deluxe Album Review

Yesterday I reviewed Kelly Clarkson's second album, "Breakaway" so today I thought I'd review her fifth album, "Stronger".  I'll make this intro to the review short, so here's my track by track review:

1) Mr. Know It All: The first single from the album.  The song was an interesting choice as the lead single from the album since it's not as upbeat as a lot of the other songs on the album.  Lyrics are okay but her voice is amazing.  She performed a different version of the song on the American Music Awards in 2011 and a country version of the song was also released.  9/10

2) Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You): The title track and the second single from the album.  When the album was released, this song was called "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" but it was changed.  It is an upbeat empowering track that was number 1 for three weeks in the U.S., making it her most successful single there.  10/10

3) Dark Side: The third and final single from the album.  This song was rumored to be a single before it's release because Kelly had mentioned that it'd likely be a single.  It is about asking their lover if they'd still love them even for your dark side.  10/10

4) Honestly: Rumors are that this song was supposed to be on Adam Lambert's "Trespassing" album since a demo of the song with his vocals was leaked before Kelly's album was released.  The song is a very dark, haunting ballad about wanting to know what your partner thinks of you, even if the truth is bad.  Wish it was a single.  10/10

5) You Love Me: Despite the title it's not a love song at all.  It's about a relationship that's going downhill because the person you're with is blaming you for everything, when in reality it's their fault.  Who can relate to this?  10/10

6) Einstein: This is my favorite song on the album.  The song was initially called "Dumb + Dumb = You".  It's about a person's anger towards her ex partner.  It's fun to listen to on a bad day.  I love the part "I may not be Einstein, but I know dumb plus dumb equals you."  10/10

7) Standing in Front of You: I used to ignore this song when I first got the album but I like the song now.  It's an amazing ballad about how the person you want to be with has been standing in front of you the whole time.  9/10

8) I Forgive You: This song was almost the third single from the album but in the end that didn't happen.  When I like Kelly's voice and the production is great, I can't relate to the song.  Maybe because I'm not a forgiving person.  9/10

9) Hello: This song sounds weird.  It's about wanting to find companionship so you won't be lonely.  My favorite parts of the song are "Hello, hello is anybody listening?" and "won't somebody show me that I'm not alone."  9/10

10) The War Is Over: This song feels like it could've been on "My December".  Kelly has said that it was the first song that was recorded for the record.  The song starts off slow but picks up later on in the song.  I think it's about moving on from a bad relationship.  9/10

11) Let Me Down: Ever have a friend that you love but they constantly let you down?  This song is about that.  This song leaked onto the internet months before the album was released.  My favorite part of the song is the opening line.  10/10

12) You Can't Win: I think everyone can relate to this song.  It's about life in general and how it doesn't matter what you do in life people will judge.  It sucks but that's life and sadly life's not fair.  The song is great though.  10/10

13) Breaking Your Own Heart: The last song on the standard edition of the album.  It's different from the rest of the album being that it's country.  Although it is a country ballad, it's awesome and showcases her amazing vocals.  9/10

These next four songs are on the deluxe edition of the album.

14) Don't You Wanna Stay (duet with Jason Aldean): This song was released as the second single from Jason's album, "My Kinda Party".  It's an awesome song and it's cool that it was included on this album.  9/10

15) Alone: Ever feel like you're alone in the relationship with the person you're with?  This song is about that.  Thankfully at the end of the song, the narrator of the song has a new guy who treats her better.  10/10

16) Don't Be a Girl About It: I'm kinda curious why this song wasn't put on the standard edition of the album.  The song is awesome.  Great vocals, great lyrics, great production.  I wish this song was a single!  10/10

17) The Sun Will Rise (featuring Kara Dioguardi): Last song on the deluxe edition of the album.  It's a duet with Kara Dioguardi, who has co-written songs for Hilary Duff, Ashlee Simpson, and Kelly herself.  It's an empowering ballad about staying strong.  Great song to end the album.  10/10

"Stronger" is an amazing album and it's just as good, if not better than any of her previous albums.  I love all the songs on the album.  Out of 170 points I give the album 163 which is 95%, an A.  Awesome!

Kelly Clarkson: Breakaway Album Review

It's hard to believe that it's almost been 10 years since Kelly Clarkson released her second album, "Breakaway".  For those of you who don't know about Kelly Clarkson, she first came to fame in 2002 when she was on American Idol.  Since then she has become one of the most successful contestants from the show releasing 6 studio album, many singles, and a greatest hits album.  Today I'll be reviewing her second album "Breakaway".  I didn't know who Kelly Clarkson was until I saw the video for "Breakaway" in 2004 and I've been a fan ever since.  I had a review that I wrote on my myspace a couple years ago that I was going to post on here, but myspace changed and I lost all my old blogs.  So I'll just start from scratch.  Here's my track by track review:

1) Breakaway: The first single from the album as well as the title track and first single from "The Princess Diaries 2 Soundtrack".  The song talks about wanting to get away from your old life and start a new one.  The thing that shocked me the most about this song was that it was actually co-written by Avril Lavigne.  In fact the song was recorded for Avril's first album, "Let Go" but it didn't fit the album.  Earlier this month, Avril's demo of the song was leaked.  10/10

2) Since U Been Gone: The second single from the album.  This song is known as one of Kelly's biggest hits.  The song was initially given to P!nk but she turned it down, and then given to Hilary Duff but Hilary couldn't hit the high notes.  The song talks about being happy that the relationship is over and in the video Kelly trashes her boyfriend's house.  I love the song and it's fun to dance too and listen to when you're having a bad day.  10/10

3) Behind These Hazel Eyes: The third single from the album.  This song is about Kelly's ex-boyfriend, David Hodges who not only collaborated with her on this album but used to be in "Evanescence".  In the video Kelly plays a bride who is about to get married but she knows her fiance is in love with someone else.  In the end she throws the ring in his face and leaves the church.  10/10

4) Because of You: The fourth single from the album.  This song was written for her first album "Thankful" but her label didn't want it on the album.  Apparently her label didn't want the song on this album either.  Kelly wrote the song when she was coping with her parents divorce.  That is also shown in the video.  10/10

5) Gone: This song is about leaving the person you're with to find someone better.  Kelly had admitted that couldn't relate to the whole song but she thought it should be included on the album.  I'm glad it was on because it's my favorite song on the album.  Rumors were that the song was going to be the fifth single but that proved to be false.  10/10

6) Addicted: This song was inspired by the music on Evanescence's "Fallen".  Ben Moody and David Hodges, who are both former members of the band, co-wrote the song with Kelly.  It was Kelly's favorite song on the album and like "Gone" it was rumored to be the fifth single.  That didn't happen because her last two singles were dark and the label wanted a lighter song to be a single.  Shame, I would've loved to see a video for this song.  10/10

7) Where Is Your Heart: This song was written about Kelly's ex-boyfriend, David Hodges.  The song is about wanting more from your partner and wondering where they are in the relationship.  It is an amazing ballad that I used to ignore but I love it now.  10/10

8) Walk Away: The fifth and final single from the album.  The song was on of the lighter ones on the album.  I love the third verse the most.  In the video Kelly is performing the song with her band while many other people lip-sync and dance to the song.  10/10

9) You Found Me: Finally a happy song!  Sadly it's the only happy song on this album.  The song is about being with someone who makes you feel good.  It's an amazing song and I think it could've been in a lot of romantic comedy movies.  10/10

10) I Hate Myself for Losing You:  The title of the song says it all.  The song is about how the guy you left is now in a relationship with someone else and it's killing you.  In the end of the song she sings "I Hate Myself for Loving You".  Great song.  10/10

11) Hear Me: When I heard the song I thought it was about a person who had passed away and you miss them.  Clearly I was wrong!  The song is actually about wanting to find "the one" that you're supposed to be with but you haven't found that person and you're screaming that you're ready for them.  I sadly relate to that.  10/10

12) Beautiful Disaster (Live): This song is the live version of a song that was on her first album, "Thankful".  I didn't listen to "Thankful" until 2006 and when I heard the original version I was surprised.  Kelly said the reason the live version of the song is on here is because she thought the production of the song distracted the lyrics.  Both versions are amazing in my opinion.  10/10

To this day "Breakaway" is Kelly's best album so far.  The album as got her two grammys.  I love all the songs on this album.  Out of 120 points I give the album all 120 points which is 100%, an A+.  Awesome job Kelly!

Avril Lavigne: The Best Damn Thing Album Review

Okay, I think we all knew that this album review was coming.  As I've said many times before I'm a huge Avril Lavigne fan so reviewing her third album, "The Best Damn Thing" is no surprise.  "The Best Damn Thing" was released in 2007, 3 years after Avril's second album, "Under My Skin" and was more upbeat and fun opposed to the dark, angry sounds of "Under My Skin".  Here's my track by track review:

1) Girlfriend: The first single from the album.  The song was a surprise considering she's telling a guy that she wants to be his girlfriend and to get rid of the girl he's with.  Also she was married to Deryck Whibley from "Sum 41" at the time.  The song surprisingly ended up being one of her most successful hits hitting number 1 in the U.S.  I like the song now but when it was first released, I thought it was bad.  9/10

2) I Can Do Better: This song was Avril's favorite song on the album.  Avril said while she was on tour that the song is about "being strong and doing better".  I don't want to be mean, but it sounds like she is drunk in the song.  I also found the third verse funny.  9/10

3) Runaway: This is my favorite song on the album.  It's about how life can suck and how you just want to runaway from it all.  That describes how life was for me in high school.  Really wish this song was a single!  10/10

4) The Best Damn Thing: The fourth and final single from the album as well as the title track.  When I first got the album, this song was one of the first songs I listened to.  I loved it but when I saw the video I was horrified.  Cheerleaders?!?!  Avril's has definitely changed.  I eventually got over it since the song was cool.  10/10

5) When You're Gone: We finally get to a ballad.  This song was the second single from the album.  The song talks about missing someone when they're far away from you.  The video for the song is amazing.  It made me cry.  10/10

6) Everything Back But You: This song is probably the most angriest song on the about.  It is rumored that this song was an outtake from "Under My Skin".  It makes sense because it not only does Avril's voice sound like it did on "Under My Skin" but it was also co-written and produced by Butch Walker, who co-wrote and produced some of the songs on "Under My Skin."  While it doesn't fit the mood of the album, it's still a great song.  10/10

7) Hot: The third single from the album.  When this song was announced as the third single from the album, I was shocked.  I thought it was an okay song but a bad choice as a single.  While the video was good, the song wasn't as successful as the first two singles from the album.  8/10

8) Innocence: Another ballad.  This song was released as a single in Italy and apparently had a video.  I didn't know that nor have I seen the video.  Although Avril's vocals are amazing, I usually ignore this song.  8/10

9) I Don't Have to Try: "I'm the one, I'm the one who knows the dance.  I'm the one, I'm the one who's got the prance.  I'm the one, I'm the one who wears the pants."  That's the opening line of the song.  Clearly Avril's saying she wears the pants in her relationship.  The song was also used in a canon camera commercial that Avril was in.  9/10

10) One of Those Girls: In this song Avril warns a friend that the girl who's hitting on him only wants him for money and when he's broke the girl will be gone.  This was one of the first songs I listened to on the album.  It is a little more rockier than some of the other songs but I still like it.  10/10

11) Contagious: Although it is the shortest song on the album, it is very upbeat.  It is about seeing a guy that you feel is "the one".  There was controversy with this song.  Apparently in 2005 Chantal Kreviazuk wrote a song with the same name and thought Avril plagiarized the song.  Although the case was settled, I am curious what the song Chantal wrote sounds like.  10/10

12) Keep Holding On: This song was a single for the "Eragon soundtrack".  While the film wasn't successful, the song was.  It was one of two songs Avril wrote for the soundtrack.  While this song was included on the soundtrack the other song, "Won't Let You Go", didn't make the soundtrack but was leaked a few years ago.  It is an empowering song and I love listening to it when I'm having a bad day.  Avril had said that the song was going to have an alternate version for the album but for unknown reasons that didn't happen.  Always wondered what the other version would've sound like.  10/10

Avril's third album, "The Best Damn Thing" was much more lighter and happier than her previous album and was just as successful.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Runaway", "One of Those Girls", "The Best Damn Thing", "Contagious", "Keep Holding On", "When You're Gone", "Everything Back but You", "I Don't Have to Try", "Girlfriend", and "I Can Do Better".  Out of 120 points I give the album 111 which is 92%, an A.  Awesome, now I'll just wait until her sixth album comes because let's face it, when it's released I'll review it!

Lights: The Listening Album Review

Today I'll be reviewing Lights' first album "The Listening".  Lights is a Canadian singer who was one of the writers for the "Instant Star" soundtracks.  One of the songs that Lights wrote that was on the show was "Perfect".  Since then she's released 4 ep's and 3 albums.  Here's my track by track review:

1) Saviour: This is the first single from the album.  The song talks about how she wants someone to save her, hence the title.  Light also cried while writing this song.  The video for the song is almost like a preview to the "Drive My Soul" video released a year before this song.  I love the lyrics and think the song is beautiful.  10/10

2) Drive My Soul: The first single from her "Lights" ep.  The song is her most successful single in Canada to date.  The song is about the fear of a people leaving your life because they make everything better and you don't know how you'll be without them.  The song had a space themed video.  10/10

3) River: This is my favorite song on the album.  The song is about getting tired of the life your living and wanting to find a place where you belong.  Who can relate to this?  I wish it was released as a single but an acoustic version of the single was released.  10/10

4) The Listening: The title track.  The song was also the second single from the album, but without a video it went completely unnoticed.  The lyrics for the song are pretty straightforward, she's basically saying how it's hard to speak because you're too nervous or don't know what to say.  10/10

5) Ice: The third single from the album as well as the third single from her "Lights" ep.  The song had 2 videos.  The first one involved cardboard cutouts of Lights getting away from monsters as well as her fighting the monsters in real life.  The second video involved her fighting an evil version of herself.  I like this song and it's different the previous ones.  10/10

6) Pretend: I used to hate this song when I first git the album.  Then one day I looked at the lyrics and got sad because I could relate to them.  The song is about missing the good old days when you were a kid when everything was easy.  It makes me sad.  9/10

7) The Last Thing on Your Mind: I'm pretty sure everyone has heard this song at least once.  The song was used in Old Navy commercial.  The song was on her "Lights" ep and was remixed for this album.  That being said, it took me awhile to like this song.  8/10

8) Second Go: The fourth and final single from the album.  The video for the song showed Lights painting a white house.  While I was shocked this song was a single I still like it.  I always liked the lyric "how can you save me, when I am angry, reasons I'll never know".  9/10

9) February Air: The second single from her "Lights" ep.  This was the song that made me a fan of hers.  There are two videos for the song.  The first was released in 2006 and the second one, which is more known, once again was a space themed video.  The video was also the sequel to the "Drive My Soul" video.  It's basically a love song.  10/10

10) Face Up: This song is an empowering song, saying to keep your face up even if your depressed things will get better.  I like it.  8/10

11) Lions!: Apparently this song was inspired by "World of Warcraft", or at least that's what some people like.  I find that strange but then again I don't play that game so I can't judge.  Still a good song nonetheless.  8/10

12) Quiet: The beginning part is just plain strange.  The song is about denying feelings for someone.  While it's really relatable, I can't get past that beginning part.  8/10

13) Pretend (Reprise): A shorter, slower version of "Pretend".  Great way to end the album but I like the original version more.  7/10

Lights' first album is amazing, and while her second album "Siberia" leaned more towards a dub-step kind of sound, "The Listening" still remains a great album.  My favorite songs on the album are: "River", "Ice", "Drive My Soul", "Saviour", "February Air", "The Listening", "Pretend", and "Second Go".  Out of 130 points I give the album 117 which is 90%, an A.  Awesome!

Ashlee Simpson: Bittersweet World Album Review

It's been awhile since I did a review for one of Ashlee Simpson's albums.  Today I'll be reviewing her third (and to date last) album, "Bittersweet World".  "Bittersweet World" was released almost 3 years after "I Am Me" and had more of an 80's influence than the previous album.  Here's my track by track review:

1) Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya): The first single from the album.  The song is about all the voices from people in your head.  While it's a relatable song, I think the song was boring.  The video is very weird but also very entertaining to watch.  7/10

2) Boys: This was almost the third single from the album but because of Ashlee being pregnant at the time, the release was cancelled.  I'm glad it was cancelled because it is kinda a stupid song but I am still curious what the video would've been like for the song.  5/10

3) Rule Breaker: The lyric in the song "Color Outside the Lines" was almost the title of the album but it was later changed.  The song was almost the fourth single from the album but like "Boys" the release was cancelled.  I'm not really liking this song either.  I feel like she's not really trying on it.  4/10

4) No Time for Tears: Finally a song that I like!  The song talks about how you put so much effort into a relationship but got not nothing in return since the person broke up with you.  that really sucks, but the song itself is awesome.  10/10

5) Little Miss Obsessive: This song was the second and sadly final single from the album.  It features vocals from Tom Higginson, the lead singer of "The Plain White T's".  The song did a little better in the U.S. than the first single.  The song did not have a video.  10/10

6) Ragdoll: This is my favorite song on the whole album.  The song was co-written by singer "Sanigold".  I feel the song is empowering with the opening lyric, "I've been thrown round once or twice, beneath it all was born to fight."  10/10

7) Bittersweet World: The title track.  This song is about Ashlee's view of how the world is and how people have problems and try to hide them.  An awesome song that should've been a single.  10/10

8) What I've Become: This song is directed right at the paparazzi.  Paparazzi sometimes make up gossip and stupid stories which makes celebrities annoyed because they rarely say the truth.  This song is okay but not great.  8/10

9) Hot Stuff: This song reminds me of "Lala" from "Autobiography" and "L.O.V.E." from "I Am Me".  While the video would've been funny, the overall song is stupid.  4/10

10) Murder: This song was rumored to be the first single.  It originally featured "Travie McCoy" but for some reason "Izza Kizza" is featured instead.  This song is the darkest song on the album and I wish it was a single.  10/10

11) Never Dream Alone: This song is about being in love with love despite the hard times they're going through.  While her vocals are great the song is a little boring to me.  6/10

12) Follow You Wherever You Go: This song was a bonus track on iTunes.  The song is so hilarious.  I wish this song had a video.  While it's from the point of view of a stalker, it's still so funny.  10/10

"Bittersweet World" was not as successful as her first two albums, probably because she couldn't promote the album that much given that she was pregnant.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Ragdoll", "Murder", "Bittersweet World", "No Time for Tears", "Little Miss Obsessive", and "Follow You Wherever You Go".  Out of 120 points I give the album 94 points which is 78%, a C+.  Not bad Ashlee!

Skye Sweetnam: Sound Soldier Album Review

Yesterday I reviewed Skye Sweetnam's first album, "Noise from the Basement", today I'm reviewing her second album, "Sound Soldier".  "Sound Soldier" was released 3 after Skye's first album and was mainly produced by the production team, "The Matrix", who worked on Avril Lavigne's first album.  Very strange when Skye had felt she was "Avril-lyte" in "Hupocrite" and had an "Anti-Matrix" sticker on her guitar.  The album was much different from her first album but very enjoyable to listen to nonetheless.  Here's my track by track review:

1) Music Is My Boyfriend: This song is about how Skye considers music to be her boyfriend and doesn't need anyone else.  The song had a video that Skye herself directed.  The song as well as the video are strange and I feel it is a weak song.  5/10

2) Human: The first single from the album.  The music video was inspired by the film "Tank Girl" which was also the inspiration for Avril Lavigne's "Rock N Roll" video a few years later.  How interesting.  The song is basically saying that "we're only human" as well as using things to market products is is shown obviously in the second verse.  It was a great choice as the first single.  10/10

3) Boyhunter (featuring Ak'Sent): This is my favorite song on the album.  Skye talks about sneaking out night meeting boys but you get caught.  Rapper "Ak'Sent" makes an appearance on the song and her verse is perfect.  Wish it was a single.  10/10

4) Ghosts (featuring Tim Armstrong): One of the few songs on the record that wasn't produced by The Matrix.  This song was produced by Tim Armstrong who is not only from the band "Rancid" but is also featured on the song.  I love the lyric, "there's some things you're gonna miss, going up in a small town like this" but that being said I have no clue what the song is about!  9/10

5) My Favorite Tune: In this song Skye compares her lover to her favorite song.  I'm sensing a theme with this album.  It also feels like it could've been on her first album, given that it's a straight forward pop/rock track.  10/10

6) Scary Love: The only ballad on the album.  The song is beautiful in some parts but a little "scary" in other parts.  It's about finding that one person that you love but you're afraid it may end given your previous relationships.  Really cute.  10/10

7) (Let's Get Movin') Into Action (featuring Tim Armstrong): The second and final single from the album.  There are two versions of this song.  The version that's on this album and the version that was a single on Tim Armstrong's album "A Poet's Life".  The song is a weak to me and a bad choice as a single.  5/10

8) Cartoon: This song is a little strange with the "pretty kitty" lyric but that being said the song is really good.  I wish it had a video.  I loved it from the first time I heard it and I still love it to this day.  10/10

9) Ultra: Another strange song.  I kept thinking she was saying "knuckles" in the chorus but it was actually "not girls" and "not guys".  I love the part where she sings "my river runs deep but your quite a big fish, if you're willing to try and understand me."  Her vocals on that part are amazing.  10/10

10) Make-Out Song: This song is very in your face.  It is completely different from Skye's previous record.  I don't know how else to describe it.  7/10

11) Kiss a Girl: In this song, Skye is so sick of her boyfriend being annoying that she's tempted to kiss a girl because she feels it's be less drama.  I didn't listen to the song that much at first but I like it now.  Strange how a few months after this album was released, Katy Perry released "I Kissed a Girl" and both artists were signed to Capitol Records at the time.  Coincidence?  10/10

12) Babydoll Gone Wrong: This song had a video that Skye directed herself.  The lyrics are a little creepy and it makes me relieved that there aren't any dolls in my house.  But that being said I still like the song.  10/10

13) Girl Like Me: This song was a bonus track on the Japanese version of the album.  In this song Skye is saying "what you get is what you see" with a girl like her.  Despite being a guy I like the song and I wish it was a single given that it's a strong song.  10/10

Skye had said that "Sound Soldier" was meant to be Britney Spears meet Nine Inch Nails, while I'm not sure if that's how the record is I still like that she tried something new.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Boyhunter (featuring Ak'Sent)", "Cartoon", "Human", "Girl Like Me", "Babydoll Gone Wrong","Kiss a Girl", "Ghosts (featuring Tim Armstrong)", "Scary Love", and "Ultra".  Out of 130 points I give the album 116 points which is 89%, a B+.  Awesome job Skye!

Skye Sweetnam: Noise from the Basement Album Review

Ten years ago Skye Sweetnam released her first album "Noise from the Basement" in 2004.  Since then she's had a cameo on a tv, directed a couple videos, released a new album and is now the lead singer for a band called "Sumo Cyco.  Today I'll be reviewing "Noise from the Basement" so here's my track by track review:

1) Number One: The third and final single from the album.  The song initially starts off slow in the beginning but quickly becomes fast paced after the a couple seconds.  This is my favorite song on the album.  It's just an upbeat pop/rock song that makes you want to jump and dance like a fool, or maybe that's just me.  10/10

2) Billy S.: The first single from the album as well as the first single from the "How to Deal" soundtrack.  The S. stands for Shakespeare and the song is about rebelling, which is kinda the theme on this record.  I think the song is awesome and the video is really cool.  10/10

3) Tangled Up in Me: The second single from the album.  To date it is her most successful single.  The video featured Skye performing with her band while there were also shots of her being tangled up in wires.  I remember when I was 13 the song's video came on and I sang along to the song into a light bulb not knowing that my siblings and babysitter at the time were watching me from behind.  Scared for life!  10/10

4) I Don't Really Like You: The song title says it all!  The song is about unrequited love where someone wants to be with you but you don't feel that way about them and they can't take a hint.  Awesome song.  10/10

5) I Don't Care: Another song title that says it all.  Like "Billy S." this song is also about rebelling.  It talks about not wanting to be perfect and wanting to be an individual.  Perfect song for teenagers to listen to but not as catchy as the previous songs.

6) Heart of Glass: We all know this song is a cover.  It was originally performed by the band Blondie.  Skye's version is shorter and has a rock spin on it.  I think she did a great job on it given that it's hard to cover a Blondie song and make it sound good.  10/10

7) Sharada: One of the one poppier songs on the album, "Sharada" tells the story about a girl who is daydreaming about being famous.  I think the song is really good and relatable.  I wish it had a video though.  10/10

8) It Sucks: Ever crush on someone who's not available?  This song is about that.  It's strange because when I heard the song for the first time, I hated it.  Then junior year of high school came and I could relate to it.  Like the song says in it's lyrics "it's so frustrating".  10/10

9) Fallen Through: I hated this song when I first heard it.  But nowadays I like it's lyrics are really good and relatable.  It talks about looking back on a relationship and wondering why you were ever with someone who was a complete jerk.  This album is becoming very relatable with each track.  9/10

10) Hypocrite: In this song Skye is telling people not to label her a "hypocrite" because she'll do what she wants to and not care what other people say about her.  The lyric "Avril-lyte" in the first verse was clearly pointed at the people who compared her to Avril Lavigne.  10/10

11) Unpredictable: This song is about wanting to be different because being the same gets so boring.  The song used to be my favorite song on the album but I think because I listened to the song too much, it got a little boring.  9/10

12) Shot to Pieces: Another song that's about a jerk.  It is also the shortest song, as well as the most fast paced, on this record.  The guitar parts are awesome but I wish the song was longer.  9/10

13) Smoke + Mirrors: This song is a slow ballad.  It talks about being strong and not letting other people bring you down.  It's a great song with an amazing message.  9/10

14) Split Personality: This song feels like Skye is singing from two different sides of herself.  While she sings the chorus and the verses, it feels like her darker side sings the "gotta getcha" and parts of the chorus.  I used to like the song but now I find it kind boring.

These next four songs are on the Japanese version of the album:

15) Imaginary Superstar: Skye directed a video for this song.  Like "Sharada" it also talks about daydreaming about being famous.  The difference is "Sharada" is a little better.  7/10

16) Sugar Guitar: This song was recorded for tribute to the anime "Nana" soundtrack.  While I've never seen it, I love how different it is from the rest of the album and it's also a guilty pleasure song of mine.  10/10

17) Tidal Wave: I don't really listen to this song much.  While it was a b-side for "Tangled Up in Me", it is kinda boring.  5/10

18) Shattered: This song was most likely the first song Skye recorded for the album since she sounds so young on it.  On top of that there's a video of her singing it when she looks like she may be 14.  Still a good song though.  8/10

19) Superstar: This song is a bonus track on the Korean version of the album.  It is also on iTunes as a standalone single.  The beat for the song was originally used by japanese group S.H.E. for their song also titled, "Superstar" but sung in japanese and Sweetbox's song "Chyna Girl".  Whether Skye's version is the english version of S.H.E.'s song is unkown and very unlikely but the song is one of my favorites.  Skye also shot a video for this song as well.  10/10

While Skye hasn't achieved the success she deserves, she makes awesome music.  My favorite songs on this album are: "Number One", "Superstar", "Billy S.", "Hypocrite", "Tangled Up in Me", "Sugar Guitar", "Shot to Pieces", "Heart of Glass", "Sharada", "Unpredictable" and "I Don't Really Like You".  Out of 190 points I give the album 171 which is 90%, and A.  Awesome job Skye, can't wait for your next album!

Rihanna: Rated R Album Review

Not too long ago I review Rihanna's album, "Loud".  Today I'll be reviewing her fourth album, "Rated R".  "Rated R" is Rihanna's darkest album given it's production, lyrics, and the fact that the album was released the same year as the "incident" between her and Chris Brown.  Me being a fan of Rihanna, I was shocked when heard about that when it happened.  I was even more surprised that she was releasing an album later in the year.  So here's my track by track review:

1) Mad House: Given that this song is an intro, I won't grade it out of 10 points.  The intro is however, very dark which sets the mood of this album.

2) Wait Your Turn: Rumored to have been titled "The Wait is Ova", this song was the third overall single from the album, being released everywhere except the U.S.  The video was done in black and white and showed Rihanna in many different outfits.  One of which she was wearing a black eye-patch.  Although the song was different from the stuff on her previous three albums, I thought it was somewhat okay.  8/10

3) Hard (featuring Jeezy): The second single from the album.  This is my favorite song on the whole album and I love the lyrics.  It's different from Rihanna's previous singles as it talks about being strong and I loved the military themed video.  10/10

4) Stupid in Love: After the first two tracks being upbeat and in your face, we get to a ballad.  You can feel the sadness in Rihanna's vocals.  There are 4 versions of this song in total.  The version on this album, a remix, and two demo versions done by R&B singer "Brandy" and R&B singer "Ne-Yo" who co-wrote this song.  The song talks about the point where you've had it with the person you're with and although you still love them, you just can't be with them anymore.  9/10

5) Rockstar 101 (featuring Slash): The fifth overall single from the album.  I was surprised that this song became a single instead of "Fire Bomb".  While the guitar solos from Slash are good and the song fusing dub step with rock music is pretty cool, I think releasing the song as a single was a huge mistake.  8/10

6) Fire Bomb: One of my favorite songs on the album.  The guitar solo in the beginning is pretty cool and the song was a favorite not just from a lot fans of Rihanna, but it was also a favorite of Rihanna's herself.  It was rumored to be the fifth overall single at one point but that didn't happen, which is a shame because it would've had an awesome video.  10/10

7) Russian Roulette: The first single from the album.  The song was a dark ballad and a risk to release as the lead single.  Although it sends a chill down my spine with the gun shot at the end of the song, it is kinda a weak song.  The video however was great.  7/10

8) Rude Boy: The fourth overall single from the album.  When I first heard it, I questioned why it was on the album when it was poppier and happier than all the other songs on this album.  After awhile I got over that and thought it was a great song.  The video was a little strange though.  10/10

9) Photographs (featuring will.i.am): Apparently this song was supposed to be for "The Black Eyed Peas" album "The E.N.D." but Rihanna decided to record it for her album.  At first I thought the song was boring because it felt like it was repeating the same line from start to finish but after a couple listens I thought it was a pretty great ballad.  10/10

10) G4L: The title stands for "Gangsta For Life" and like "Hard" is a tough song.  In fact some of the lyrics scared me at first.  The opening line especially, "I lick the gun when I'm done, cause I know that revenge is sweet".  DAMN!  9/10

11) Te Amo: The sixth overall and final single from the album.  The song is much different from the rest of the album and was actually one of the earlier songs that leaked, except this one made the album.  "Te Amo", which is spanish for I love you, is about a woman who is falling in love with the narrator but the narrator feel the same way.  Who can relate to that?  10/10

12) Cold Case Love: The longest song on the album being 6 minutes and 4 seconds.  It was also a favorite of Rihanna's and was co-written by "Justin Timberlake".  Rihanna admitted that this song was about Chris Brown.  Despite that I feel the song is too long and I get bored of it quickly.  8/10

13) The Last Song: Funny enough this song was the final song recorded for the album.  While Rihanna's vocals are amazing on this song, the overall track is kinda weak but it was still a good way to end the album.  7/10

"Rated R" was a completely different album than Rihanna's previous ones at the time and still remains one of my favorite albums.  My favorite songs on the album are: "Hard (featuring Jeezy)", "Fire Bomb", "Rude Boy", "Te Amo", "Stupid in Love", and "Photographs (featuring will.i.am)".  Out of 120 points I give the album 106 which is 88%, a B+.  Awesome!

Girls Aloud: Ten (Deluxe Edition) Album Review

I mentioned Girls Aloud when I was reviewing Cheryl Cole's "A Million Lights" album awhile ago, so it's no surprise that I'm reviewing one of their albums.  For those of you who don't know who Girls Aloud, they are (well were since they broke up last year) a girl group formed by the show "Popstars: The Rivals".  The band consisted of Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, and Sarah Harding.  The group released 5 studio albums and 2 greatest hits albums, along with all but 2 of their singles becoming top 10 hits in the U.K.  Today I'll reviewing the deluxe edition of their album "Ten" which was the second greatest hits album as well as their final album before splitting up.  Here's my track by track review:

1) Something New: The first single from "Ten".  It was the group's first single in 3 years and was a perfect song to comeback with.  Kimberley and Nicola even rap on the first verse.  The video was also perfect.  10/10

2) The Promise: The first single from the group's fifth album,"Out of Control".  The song was different from the group previous singles but in the end it became one of their biggest hits.  Not only did it reach number 1 in the U.K. but it also won a BRIT award.  The video had a 50's/60's vibe.  10/10

3) The Loving Kind: The second single from "Out of Control".  This song is one of my favorite songs from the group.  Funny enough the song wasn't supposed to be on the group's album.  The song was supposed to be for the band "Pet Shop Boys".  I'm glad it was given to Girls Aloud in the end.  The song does however, sound almost exactly like their single "Call the Shots" but prefer this song over "Call the Shots".  10/10

4) Untouchable: The third and final single from "Out of Control".  The song was originally a long song being 6 minutes and 42 seconds, but when it was released as a single it was remixed and shortened to 3 minutes and 49 seconds.  The song is mostly known for being the group's first single to miss the top 10 in the U.K. by peaking at 11.  While that's not a bad chart position it did break the group's top 10 streak.  The song is still really good though and the space themed video is pretty cool.  10/10

5) Sexy! No No No...: The first single from the album the group's fourth album, "Tangled Up".  The song begins with Cheryl's vocals being vocodered making the song sound a little creepy.  In the video the girls are in dresses only to be in catsuits which works when they sing the part "Sexy, sexy".  10/10

6) Call the Shots: The second single from "Tangled Up".  The song was supposed to be on the group's album, "The Sound of Girls Aloud: Greatest Hits" but didn't make the cut.  It did better than "Sexy! No No No..." in the U.K. and was also Cheryl's favorite song on "Tangled Up".  Their single "The Loving Kind", which was released a year after this song is very similar to this but like I said earlier, I prefer "The Loving Kind" more.  8/10

7) Can't Speak French: The third and final single from "Tangled Up".  The video featured the girls in costumes that were Marie Antoinette inspired.  This song is probably one of my least favorite singles that the group has released but it is beginning to grow on me a little.  7/10

8) Something Kinda Ooooh: The first single from the group's first greatest hits album, "The Sound of Girls Aloud: Greatest Hits".  The song is very catchy but the video was kinda boring with the girls driving sports cars.  Cheryl herself had admitted that it wasn't the group's best video.  10/10

9) Biology: The second single from the group's third album, "Chemistry".  I'm still confused on what the hell this song is about.  Despite that it still became a hit and it's video was somewhat boring.  Just a strange song.  Not much else to say.  7/10

10) The Show: The first single from the group's second album, "What Will the Neighbors Say".  The video for the song showed the girls working in a salon called "Curls Allowed", a play-on of the group's name, where they treat their male customers horribly.  Despite the video being hilarious, the song is kinda boring after while.  8/10

11) Love Machine: The second single from "What Will the Neighbors Say".  The group did not want this song being released as they feared it would end their career.  In the end the song was released as a single and became a hit.  The video featured the girls in a nightclub as well as doing a little dance routine.  8/10

12) I'll Stand by You: The third single from "What Will the Neighbors Say".  It is also a cover that was originally performed by "The Pretenders".  Despite it not getting positive reviews, it still became a number 1 in the U.K.  The video featured the girls in a desert with a storm coming later on in the video.  9/10

13) Jump: The fourth and final single from the group's first album, "Sound of the Underground".  It is also a cover that was originally performed by "The Pointer Sisters" and was originally called "Jump (for My Love)".  The song wasn't on "Sound of the Underground" originally so the album was re-released with this song on it.  It was a huge success and the video showed part of the film "Love Actually" since the song was on the soundtrack for the film.  10/10

14) No Good Advice: The second single from "Sound of the Underground".  Although Brian Higgins, the man who wrote a majority of the group's songs with Miranda Cooper, wrote the song about a failure of Xenomania signing a deal with London Records, the song feels like it could be about not wanting to fear anyone's opinion on what you should or shouldn't do.  I think a lot of people can relate to the lyrics of this song.  10/10

15) Sound of the Underground: The title track and first single from "Sound of the Underground".  This song is one of their most well known songs since it not only debuted at number 1 in the U.K. but also made Girls Aloud win "Popstars: The Rivals".  It is also my favorite single from the group.  The video showed the girls performing the song somewhere underground which works with the song title.  10/10

16) On the Metro: The second new song on this album.  It was co-written by Nicola and was also performed by the group on the final tour "Ten: The Hits Tour".  The song has a J-pop sound to it but it works.  It's a shame this song wasn't released as a single since it's a really great song.  10/10

17) Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me: The second and final single from "Ten" as well as the group's final single all together.  Despite being a beautiful pop ballad and having a great video, the song peaked at number 97 in the U.K., making it their lowest charting single.  10/10

18) Every Now and Then: The fourth and final new song on this album.  The song starts off slow and by the 1:22 part the music becomes more upbeat song.  It's a perfect song to end the standard edition of the album.  9/10

Since this is the deluxe edition of the album, there are ten more tracks.  These tracks were chosen by the groups fans.

19) Graffiti My Soul: This song was on "What Will the Neighbors Say".  This song was originally given to Britney Spears' fourth album, "In the Zone" but wasn't included although she did record a version of the song that has still not seen the light of day.  The song is one of my favorite songs that the band has ever done.  It was supposed to be the fifth and final single from "What Will the Neighbors Say" but it was cancelled so the group could record their album "Chemistry".  That annoys me so much.  The version on this album is said to be a remix but I don't really hear a difference between this and the original.  10/10

20) Wake Me Up: The fourth and final single from "What Will the Neighbors Say".  The song was supposed to be the first single from that album but the label that it was too hard and waited to release it later.  It's a little rockier than the previous singles from "What Will the Neighbors Say" but it's really good and had an awesome video.  Glad it was put on this album.  10/10

21) Wild Horses: A song from their album "Chemistry".  I don't really listen to this song that much and would've preferred "Racy Lacey" from the same album, to be on here instead of this song.  7/10

22) Swinging London Town: This song was also on the "Chemistry" album.  Despite it being one of Nicola's favorite songs, I don't like it that much.  I wish that the group's cover of "Wicked Games" that never got released was on here instead of this song.  6/10

23) Whole Lotta History: The fourth and final single from "Chemistry".  This was my favorite song and single from "Chemistry".  It's a beautiful ballad about reminiscing about an old relationship.  The lyrics and the groups vocals are perfect and video was terrific.  10/10

24) Crazy Fool: A b-side from the single "Whole Lotta History".  I don't really listen to this song that much at all.  I wish that "Nobody but You", the b-side from "Biology" was on here instead of this song.  6/10

25) Girl Overboard: A song from "Tangled Up".  Rumors are that this song was almost the first single from the album until "Sexy! No No No..." was released instead.  Thank goodness for that because I don't really like this song that much.  I would've replaced it was "What You Crying" from the same album.  6/10

26) Black Jacks: Another song from "Tangled Up".  Despite it being a good track vocally, I still find it a little boring.  I wish that "Revolution In The Head" from "Out of Control" was on here instead.  7/10

27) Hoxton Heroes: The b-side from the single "Can't Speak French".  I find this song to be way better than "Can't Speak French" though.  It talks about how some bands are all the same despite them claiming they're the next best thing.  I love this song and wish it was released as a single.  10/10

28) Memory of You: The b-side from the single "The Loving Kind".  It is a trance-like track originally called "Japan" was originally done by the trance project "Candace" with vocals by "Louise Griffiths".  New verses were written for the song, which would explain it's name change.  It should've been a single since it's really good and was also covered by Nicola herself as a b-side for her single "Yo-Yo".  10/10

That's probably the most tracks I've ever reviewed for an album.  But I don't mind since Girls Aloud were a great band.  My favorite songs on this album are : "Sound of the Underground", "The Loving Kind", "Graffiti My Soul", "Whole Lotta History", "On the Metro", "Sexy! No No No...", "something Kinda Ooooh", "Something New", "Wake Me Up", "Untouchable" "The Promise", "Hoxton Heroes", "Memory of You", "Jump", "No Good Advice", "I'll Stand by You", "Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me", and "Every Now and Then."  Out of 280 points I give the album 248 which is 88%, a B+.  Awesome!  It's a shame they broke up but they're all doing well.  Sarah's working on her debut solo album, Nadine just had a baby, Kimberley is now pregnant, Nicola's working on her second album and writing songs for Cheryl's fourth album, and Cheryl's working on "X Factor" as well as working on her fourth album.
