1) Autobiography: The first song on the album is the title track. It was one of Ashlee's favorite songs on the album. It was also used as the theme song on her show "The Ashlee Simpson Show" back in 2004. The song was initially supposed to be the third and final single from the album but after the SNL incident it was changed. I wish it was a single. 10/10
2) Pieces of Me: The first single from the album and to date her highest charting one. It's a happy love song that she wrote about then boyfriend Ryan Cabrera. It's still a guilty pleasure song of mine to this day. 10/10
3) Shadow: The second single from the album. Probably one of the most, if not the most personal song of Ashlee's on this album. It's talks about living in her sister, Jessica Simpson's, shadow but then finding her own identity. I hated this song so much when I got the album and I'm gonna be honest, I started to like it after it became a single. Sad right? 9/10
4) Lala: The third single from the album. A very upbeat in your face song with lyrics that sound sexual. My relatives hated this song so much but I liked it, even though I didn't know what the song was about at the time. I went through a phase of where I hated it but went back to liking it again. 10/10
5) Love Makes the World Go Round: This song was said by some reviewers that it sounded like a Hilary Duff song. The song is about the disappointment of a relationship ending. I didn't start liking it until I was about 15 or 16. 10/10
6) Better Off: An uplifting upbeat, positive song. It puts me in a good mood quick. I love the lyrics and the guitar riffs. 10/10
7) Love Me For Me: Like, "Lala" this song is very in your face and it's hard to tell if she wants to stay with her boyfriend or leave him. My favorite part was always the second verse. 10/10
8) Surrender: This is my favorite song on the album. The first time I heard it was on "The Ashlee Simpson Show" when she was recording it. When I got the album, I was glad to see it there. It's a very carefree song about a breakup and if I'm in a bad move I put this song on and it calms me down. Why it wasn't a single, I'll never know. 10/10
9) Unreachable: Ashlee wrote this song after breaking up with then boyfriend actor, Josh Henderson. Worst part for was that she had to deal with it while the show was filming. It's an upbeat ballad that I seem to listen to more and more as time goes by. 10/10
10) Nothing New: Sick of drama from your ex? Well so was Ashlee, which is why she wrote this song about that. Eventually it becomes to much and she finally says she's done. Like the title track, "Nothing New" was one of Ashlee's favorite songs on this album. 10/10
11) Giving It All Away: This song is a ballad about not throwing your life away. Although I like the message, the song itself is the weakest on the album from me. 5/10
12) Undiscovered: The last song on the album. Another one of Ashlee's favorites, it is a ballad that was also used in the film that was also called "Undiscovered" that Ashlee not only started in but performed this song too. Rumors are that this song was supposed to be the fourth single and because it had a video (footage of her performing the song in the film) it makes sense. I always loved the third verse. 10/10
While Ashlee hasn't released any new material except a buzz single called "Bat for a Heart", which wasn't all that good, she is said to still be working on her fourth album. My favorite songs on this album are: "Surrender", "Autobiography", "Unreachable", "Better Off", "Undiscovered", "Love Makes the World Go Round", "Nothing New", "Pieces of Me", and "Love Me for Me". Out of 120 points I give the album 114 which is 95%, an A. Remember I'll be reviewing albums this whole month so stayed tuned for more!
