Miley Cyrus: Can't Be Tamed Album Review

Today is the last day of March!  That means I've done a review everyday for this month (whether they were good or not is another story...)  After today I will take another break from doing reviews but it won't be a long one!  Anyway, today I'll be reviewing Miley Cyrus' third album, "Can't Be Tamed".  The album was released back in 2010 and is my favorite album of hers.  To make a long intro short (or shorter than I had intended it to be) here's track by track review:

1) Liberty Walk: This is an empowering song about not letting anyone hurt you or say you can't do this or that.  I was surprised that Miley rapped the first verse but the song is amazing.  While the song wasn't a single, the song was remixed and had a video.  10/10

2) Who Owns My Heart: The second and sadly last single from the album everywhere except Australia.  Almost 5 years have passed and I still don't know what the song's about, but that doesn't stop me from dancing to it.  That being said, it should not have been released as a single.  8/10

3) Can't Be Tamed: The title track and first single from the album.  The song is about breaking free and being able to express yourself.  The chipmunk part in the second verse is funny but the video was strange.  This is the only song from this album that Miley sang on her "Bangerz" tour.  It peaked at number 8 in the U.S.  9/10

4) Every Rose Has Its Thorn: This was song the third single from the album in Australia.  Why it didn't get a video or get released in the U.S. is a mystery.  It is a cover song originally performed by the band, "Poison".  "Brett Michaels", the lead singer of that band, sang backup vocals on Miley's version.  She did a good rendition of the song.  10/10

5) Two More Lonely People: This song is about a relationship that has ended mutually.  It's has a little bit of a pop rock feel to it.  I love the third verse.  10/10

6) Forgiveness and Love: This song was performed at the "American Music Awards" back in 2010.  It was rumored to be the third single from the album, but it instead became a promo single released only in Germany.  While it's a good ballad, I usually skip it.  8/10

7) Permanent December: Despite the fact that the song uses a lot of auto-tune, the song is still amazing and is my favorite song on the album.  The song is about how a girl has been around the world and despite meeting guys (not sexually just friendly) none of them come close to her boyfriend back home so she decides to leave to be with him.  Wish this song had a video!  10/10

8) Stay: Despite not being a single, the song peaked at number 75 in the U.S.  The song is a ballad about a relationship that has ended but one person misses the other person and if that person wanted them back, the first would rush to be by their side.  8/10

9) Scars: This song is about running into an ex and pretending you're fine but you still have feelings for them.  A lot of people can relate to that.  Great song.  10/10

10) Take Me Along: The song should be titled "Take Me With You" because that lyric is in the song, not "Take Me Along".  Anyway the song is ballad about a relationship that's ended (there seems to be a pattern on this album) and telling the ex that they never find someone that's loved them as much as you loved them while questioning if they ever loved you at all.  10/10

11) Robot: This song is about not wanting to be controlled.  Maybe Miley wrote it about how she was sick of being told to be "perfect" because she was on "Hannah Montana".  Either way, the song is awesome and should've been a single.  10/10

12) My Heart Beats for Love: Finally a happier song.  The song is about being love with someone but no one approves of that relationship but you both stay together because it's a love worth fighting for.  Should've been a single.  10/10

Since this album release, Miley's released her fourth album, "Bangerz" and as of 2014 she is working on her fifth album.  I love all the songs on the album.  Out of 120 points I give the album 112 which 93%, an A.  I hope you enjoyed this one and all the reviews I did this month.  Thank you reading this review!
