The Corrs: Borrowed Heaven Album Review

Continuing with "The Corrs'" music, I'll be reviewing their fourth album, "Borrowed Heaven".  If you're wondering why the review is early, it's because I got sick and thought "I should do this review so I won't wait 'til later.  Here's my track by track review:

1) Summer Sunshine: The first single from the album.  The song is about a doomed relationship.  It's my favorite song on the album and the video was pretty cool.  10/10

2) Angel: The second single from the album.  The song was about the group's mother who had passed away before their previous album, "In Blue" was released.  The acoustic version of the song makes me cry.  10/10

3) Hideaway: This song feels like it's about being more independent in a relationship instead of co-depending on the other person foe everything.  10/10

4) Long Night: The third and final single from the album.  Like "Hideaway", this song was written by Sharon.  The song is about breaking up with someone.  Only Sharon and Andrea appear in the video.  10/10

5) Goodbye: Like the previous two songs, this song was written by Sharon.  The song, like "Angel" is about their mother.  It was remixed and released as the band's final single to date, in 2006 for their second greatest hits album, "Dreams: The Ultimate Corrs Collection".  There is also a demo version of the song where Sharon sings lead.  10/10

6) Time Enough For Tears: This song was used in the film, "In America" and was the only song on the album that the Corrs didn't write.  It was written by "Bono" from "U2" and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award.  Sadly the song feels out of place for me.  5/10

7) Humdrum: The title means dull.  The song is the opposite.  The song is about how a relationship that has grown dull and boring over the years.  Didn't like it at first but it's grown on me.  10/10

8) Even If: This is a happy love song.  It's feels like "Breathless Part 2" in a way.  Despite that I love the song.  10/10

9) Borrowed Heaven: The title track.  It features vocals from "Ladysmith Black Mambazo".  The band has said that the song is a prayer.  It's very beautiful.  10/10

10) Confidence for Quiet: The song is pretty good, but I have no idea what it's about.  7/10

11) Baby be Brave: This song is a little bit darker than the rest of the album.  I love Sharon's part, "confide in me, tell your story, it's your fear that makes you worthy".  10/10

12) Silver Strand: This an instrumental piece that was written by Caroline and Sharon when they were recording their first album, "Forgiven, Not Forgotten".  It's amazing.  10/10

"Borrowed Heaven" is my favorite Corrs' album.  I love the whole album.  Out of 120 points I give the album 112 points which is 93%, an A.  Thank you for reading this review.
